My husband and I chose this property as even though I tried to book a year in advance of the 2024 commencement at SUNY Geneseo, everything was booked! We enjoy staying at B & B establishments more than hotel chains, and the 1795 Acorn Inn looked charming.
Well, it was beyond charming, and I wish we would've stayed here the fours years our son matriculated at university.
Sheryl and staff were so warmly welcoming. The property is lush with abundant, verdant foliage and flora, and the interior is very tastefully decorated with attention to detail.
Sheryl has seen to everything, from the incredible comfort of our room (the Wilder Suite) itself and its bed, shower, and large, open bathroom to the comfort and conveniences of the entry and sitting areas that boast a refrigerator stocked with drinks and a place to stow leftovers, water dispenser, Keurig, cookies, coffee for early risers, and a delicious breakfast (The crème brûlée French toast was scrumptious!) served on lovely china and crystal.
We are already talking about making another trip up for a weekend getaway! Thank you, Sheryl, for making an already special weekend even more special!

Just about 5 mins from a nice little ski hill. Great dining options but you have to drive a little for some of them. Our favorite dining spot was about 25-30 mins from the inn. The downtown with shops was about 20 mins away. The inn was quiet and quaint. The owner was very friendly and helpful and made beautiful breakfasts. Exactly what we were looking for.

We loved everything. Sheryl is an excellent innkeeper and very hospitable. My husband and I like small intimate B&Bs like The Acorn Inn.

Cheryl, our host, could not have been more accommodating. She thought of everything! Her BnB was so clean! She really helped us with recommendations for our stay. We said that we were interested in kayaking, so she was on the phone, immediately, trying to get us a reservation. Her breakfast was delicious, and when we could not stay for breakfast the 2nd day, she packed us a goodie bag for the road! The outdoor space was private, and we really enjoyed the hot tub! We would definitely stay with Cheryl again!

Such a lovely experience. Beautiful B&B near Canandaigua Lake. I love old Victorian that is not smothered in wallpaper and lace. The room with antique furnishings was beautiful including the window seat overlooking the garden and the gas fireplace. And, what woman doesn’t love a bathroom with a large vanity, tons of drawers and a lit magnifying make up mirror. Breakfast was wonderful and served by the owner. Creme brûlée French toast was the highlight. As for COVID precautions, Sheryl has it covered with masks required in the public areas, disinfected and ionized rooms, and widely spaced breakfast dining in the garden.
