Candolim stopover for a few days.
Publié le 28 nov. 2018 sur HotelsSo far as hotels in the area go Silver Sands Sunshine is perfectly nice and value for money. Most of the tourism in the area is geared for older Brits and there are a lot of return visitors. There dont seem to be so many clubs etc for younger people but there is plenty of good live entertainment (the hotels was good) and karaoke if thats your thing. Food in the area was typical for what we've found throughout India which is simply, stick to local Indian food and keep it vegetarian. Western dishes and meat dishes were invariably disappointing including at this hotel.
Alcohol is expensive here; cheaper than Mumbai but about 50% more expensive than southern Goa. Similar maybe slightly less than in the UK. Take a kettle if you want tea/coffee in your room.
Talking to repeat visitors we learned that the bathrooms were all refurbished. They were clean and better than a lot that we saw. The rooms at the front could use a net curtain as that level is directly opposite a bar so we had the curtains closed most of the time. Noise wise, India is noisy. Candolim is no exception but it wasn't so bad as it was quite early in the season when we were there.
The beaches were pretty clean - especially compared with streets and towns in general which are horrifying in terms of litter - and we could see people collecting plastic etc to sell for recycling. The beach huts are good. We walked a bit further to get to Doms which was a little bit quieter but worth the effort.

Good location. Walkable distance to Candolim beach
Publié le 2 oct. 2017 sur Expedia
Pour : Location.
Contre : None as of now
Emplacement : - Candolim Beach is walkable distance from this hotel
- Baga & calangute beaches are also very close in North Goa
- Good Shopping as well
Overall good experience for our 3 days stay. Hotel staff helped us find a local transport to roam around Goa. We got a bike which was cost effective and used our mobile maps in guiding ourselves around Goa which was fun. Our Superior Room was neat and they kept it clean. Swimming Pool was available but we did not use the same. AC remote was not working in the room, however I used the buttons available in AC itself to adjust the temperature and got it running.

Nice hotel with v nice food & close to beach
Publié le 17 juill. 2017 sur ExpediaWe stayed there for 8 days in off season. It was very close to the beach, just a 2 min walk. They don't have parking space on the property, but there's a public parking space at a walking distance. They helped us rent bike, car. The entire staff was very efficient and friendly.
We'd booked the superior room, and luckily they gave us the one next to the pool. I have to say, the superior room is quite spacious, which was great as we needed some space for our 5-year-old boy. We also loved the pool, a bit small, but good for the off-season, as there weren't as many people.
Room service was great, the food was excellent. Good options in their complementary breakfast. The location is also quite good. Candolim beach is 2 min walking distance. Calangute & Baga are easily accessible with a bike. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. We may return to this property in the future.
