Very quiet. Excellent breakfast and pool area. Room was a little dated but clean with air conditioning. The option with a double bed and single bed had the single bed in a separate room with shared access to the bathroom, which was a little different to what we were expecting, but fine. Good location with bus link to Antibes and within walking distance of beaches. Would visit again.
i have read a few reviews about this hotel being out dated. if you want a brand new "cold" hotel you can chose a different hotel chain. this hotel is a beautifully run family hotel, that may have a certain out of date look to some rooms, but we found it to be very appealing to us. everything from the staff to the location was perfect, especially the lovely breakfast. a car is an advantage. i would think it quite hard to stay in any hotel on antibes cape without one.
Great, old, place surrounded by vineyards. Amazing place to relax and drink some wine. The owner is the only staff but he ensured everyone was completely taken care of.
What a gem of a place! Nowhere in this part of the Cote d'Azur is cheap but this is a cracking value hotel in a very quiet, residential part of the Cap d'Antibes but within easy walking of both Antibes and Juan and their associated beaches. Add in delightful, exceptionally helpful staff where nothing is too much trouble, Then there's the breakfasts which are add-on options. Very informal, buffet style they are excellent. On site car parking a nice bonus although we didn't touch the car for 4 days, so easy was the life. Bus stops are just over the road too at 1 euro for an hour's use of the buses !
We'll certainly be back
It is literally in the middle of nowhere. Neither is it closer to the beach nor does it offer any view with very very limited facilities.
No public transport. Even taxis take 15-20 mins to get there once you call them. On top of that they charge you from wherever they are coming from. On an average it costs about 45-50 euros for a trip to Cannes!
On the day of our departure it took close to 50 mins for the cab to arrive and we almost missed our flight !
Definitely not worth the money.
If you plan to stay there , hiring a car is a must.
We thoroughly our stay.it was very clean and comfortable. Great location.we enjoyed a beautiful walk and a wonderful dinner next door to the hotel.Highly recommend this hotel.
We have been back to this hotel 4 times now. The rooms are (very) small, but clean, and they have everything you need. The staff is nice and helpful (with the single exception being the night guy, who seems to be singularly unhelpful and incapable of independent thought and moreover lies to you). The location is pleasant, but be aware that you'll need a car to get get pretty much anywhere. The breakfast is very nice and the patio unbeatable.
Very Romantic. The perfect solution in a very expensive area
I was quite worried by some of the reviews I read on the size of the rooms, for this reason I booked a Superior Room, having found excellent rates on Expedia. I must say that the room and the bathroom were spacious and full of light. The staff has been very friendly. The minibar has reasonable prices. The swimming pool is a good solution if you want to avoid the very expensive beaches in the surroundings. Didn't have breakfast because it was a little too expensive, since you can have breakfast for less in the nearby bar. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed being in a silent area. You might need a car if you want to reach the more lively areas.
I've just come back from La Garoupe and had a fantastic time. Yes the hotel is basic but it met all my expectations and more. The rooms were cleaned on a daily basis and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The only thing I would say is that I felt the breakfast was expensive at 12 euros. We ate out for breakfast and managed to find a local cafe in Juan Les Pins that did a french breakfast for 5 euros! I would say you do need car hire for this hotel as walking into the nearest town Juan Les Pins is a good 40mins and a taxi is very pricey. I think the hotel is suitable for all - families, couples and friends. I'm really glad we chose to stay at this hotel and look forward to returning soon.
