Great place to stay...the restaurant is good...the breakfast is not included...a bit on the expensive side.

We were on the first floor and the musty smell was overwhelming. We had to open the windows to get the smell out but you couldn't sleep with them open because you were on the first floor. The hotel was obviously aware of it because they had all the windows open. Also with the air conditioning on .The walls actually are punky from the dampness. The rugs were stained and dirty. The bathtub shower head was filthy and the walls were dirty. For that kind of money I expected at least decent.

Not terrible, not great.

The building is older and the furniture in the rooms is as well. Needs updating and renewing. The entire building smelled like stale smoke and smokers were allowed to smoke right at the entrance to the building. The front desk people were kind, courteous, and helpful but unfortunately it didn’t overcome the run down atmosphere. The carpet in the room hadn’t been vacuumed and was dirty. Parking was fine, but it was a bit of a haul to get to the room with hands full of luggage. For the same price as newer hotels in the area, it was slightly disappointing when it could be a very charming place to stay.

Dear guest, Thank you for taking the time to leave a feedback for us, we appreciate that a lot. First of all I want to apologize for your not such a great experience with us, you are right this is an older building and yes it could use some renovation. Our design team is currently working on some updates so we can make our guests happy since the moment they walk into the lobby. We do know we have a great potential, especially because of our location and an amazing golf course next door. There's always room for improvement and this is exactly what we are working on because it is very important for us to see our guests happy. Thank you again for your review and I really hope there was something what you enjoyed about your trip to Canton NY.
