I have been part of a golf outing that has stayed at this particular Holiday Inn for the past 25 years. All of my stays I would give a 5 star rating until this year. I always booked directly through the Holiday Inn. This year I called them and the front desk said they were to busy to book and I should call back later. After 3 more attempts over a period of a 4 hours I was still told to call back because they were tending to customers at the front desk and were busy. Needing to get my booking in I decided to go with Travelocity. My stay was for 2 nights. All was good until the morning of my checkout when to my surprise there was no hot water. I confronted the front desk when I checked out thinking they might offer some type of compensation but I was wrong. I was told it was not an issue with them since I booked through a third (Travelocity) party. Are you kidding me? What does Travelocity have to do with the hot water ?
After further debate I was offered 1000 points on my Holiday Inn member card. I found this very disappointing and consider it bad business. After 25 years I don’t know why it was so hard to make a booking. Is the problem a policy change or an inefficient staff at the front desk.

Hello,Allow me to apologize for the confusion with regard to your initial booking. We have an expectation that every guest, whether in person, or over the phone, is given the same courtesy and respect. It seems that we may have fallen short of that expectation in your case. The water situation was an unfortunate incident that occurred as a result of a blown boiler. I am sure the inconvenience was frustrating so again our deepest apologies. I have deposited an additional 5,000 points into your IHG Loyalty Rewards account, and we hope to see you back at our hotel again in the future.

Publié le 12 août 2024 sur HotelsSuper nice staff. She upgraded to a suite for no charge. Plenty of parking. Hardly saw too many people which is nice getting in annd out. Ice on our floor not working.
