Holiday get away

Plennty os space for a nice family get together. Easy access to Ann Arbor and Plymouth. The woods around the hose were perfect with the light snow that really set the mmod for our family holiday get away!

There was no central air upstairs of the house. They had fans in all the bedrooms. The faucet water has a stinky smell. Summer time it’s too hot but over all the house was nice.

Good stay for our worktrip

Stayed here with two colleagues for 5 days in June. Plenty of space for the three of us. Only thing I’d look out for is that it is located on a dirt road, so make sure you have something that can handle the mud if the weather isn’t ideal.

Great Stay In Canton

Nice quiet property and lovely stay in this Canton, MI home. In the area for a wedding. Loved the "family & homey" feel of the place. Wonderful big kitchen where my family (4 of us) sat down for breakfast and lunch every day (6-night stay). Kitchen fully stocked with pans and gadgets. It was liked going to my great aunt's house and finding everything that you need. Everyone had their own bedroom and pretty much their own bathroom. It was just an enjoyable stay.

Wedding weekend

Perfect but too short. We came from Canada, Wisconsin and Oklahoma for our a family wedding. It was great being able to have us all under the same roof and so much room !!! Everyone thanked me for finding this VRBO, and now I have to find one in St Louis for 2024!! Haha They want to get together again next year.

Michigan Trip

We needed a place for family from out of state to celebrate my mother’s 90th birthday. The rental was fine. Nice sized house, clean. The well water odor (which was disclosed) was unpleasant.

Had to clean & disinfect due to not clean. Ac was not cool and no call back from property manager.

Rented for mom's funeral. Not happy with house. Many issues. Arrived Friday late evening. Woke up extremely hot. Called property manager and no call back. Attended moms funeral. Returned to home and still hot reaching high 70's and blower not strong. Walked out back and ac lined frozen. Decided to make trip short and leave early morning. Owner needs to have a check off sheet from property manager reviewing all basics before renting. Also due to covid it shows will be cleaned properly. We spent over 2 hours cleaning surfaces and light switches and bathrooms. Could not believe what our paper towels looks.like during. I expected a clean, disinfected, ac working house. I usually don't leave these kind of reviews but for the price we paid it was much less than average.

Super clean and comfortable home. Tons of space and you feel right at home. Only downside is its on a dirt road that is pretty bad. But other than that, perfect place to stay. Will definitely come back!

Great stay.

House was lovely and convenient for visits to both Ann Arbor and the Detroit Zoo. Large backyard allowed us to have a properly distanced visit with friends. We had a great time and would stay there again.

Peaceful location for family vacation

In light of COVID we were very pleased that this house allowed for us all to hang out and enjoy our time together. Spacious enough for us all to be together without being on top of one another. Great backyard for the kids to play. We enjoyed the fire pit too! This is definitely on our list to visit again!

Not cleaned during COVID-19

The house was a mess when we checked in. It hadn’t been cleaned from the previous renters. There were no bedsheets or comforters. There was a pile of garbage in the garage that smelled really bad. The freezer had food and smelled bad as well. I reached out to the property manager and the best they could say was “we will refund you fully if you want to cancel your reservation or the cleaning person can come tomorrow to clean”. I was disappointed. We had driven more than 10 hours to get to Canton, for an important family event, and now we were supposed to find a place to live? We didn’t want to stay at hotels because of Covid-19. I spoke to the cleaning person and they said there were some clean blankets and bedsheets in one of the closets and that we could use those for the night and we would be refunded one night’s rent for the inconvenience. I reached out to Vrbo, they offered me $20 to buy my own cleaning supplies and clean the house - another disappointment. Overall, I was only refunded the cleaning fee. The next day when the cleaning person came, they were agitated by our presence in the house and seemed upset. The house manager said they were working at another job so couldn’t respond to my messages but that the property rental company would call me back - which they never did. The house itself was really nice and accommodated all of us. I think the property, when cleaned and given to renters properly is nice and worth it. The service provided by the rental company and Vrbo, were disappointing.

Great Place for Football Weekend

My friends and I do a road trip to a Big 10 game every year. This house was perfect for the eight of us to park our RV, make dinner family style on the Friday night we arrived, crashed with a place for everyone to sleep head out the next morning to tailgate and watch the game, return to watch college football before getting a car service to take us into Ann Arbor for dinner, get a couple Ubers to bring us home and crash once more, before heading out Sunday morning!! Two notes of warning, the tubs are slick without mats and several of us almost slipped and fell taking showers and we couldn’t find any Ubers to pick us up to go to Ann Arbor, but had no problem getting them to bring us home.
