3-bedroom Ocean Front vacation home near Cheticamp

Welcome to this ultra comfortable 3-bedroom ocean side, cliff-top vacation home located within 10 minutes of the restaurants, shops and the Le Portage Golf Course in Cheticamp and within 20 minutes of Cape Breton Highlands National Park.

Enjoy stunning views of the Atlantic ocean, Cape Breton's rugged coastline and crimson sunsets from every room.

The spacious kitchen is a comfy spot to cook and entertain, while the west-facing sundeck and the cliff-top lookout provide another venue for relaxation and ocean gazing along the world-renowned Cabot Trail.

Amenities included a very well equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances, WiFi, SMART TV, satellite cable, air conditioning, BBQ, sundeck, deck chairs, lookout.

Our home makes for a great home base for visitors interested in going over the Cabot Trail or golfers who'd like to play at Le Portage and Cabot Cliffs, which is just 30 minutes away to the south.

PLEASE NOTE: (i) Children must be 8 years or older to stay; (ii) Pets of any kind are not permitted; (iii) Post-booking, a fee equal to 3.45% of accommodation charges will be added to the invoice to cover the cost of the new Cape Breton Marketing Levy and associated taxes (as we are unable to include this charge in the the quoted price at this time.)

Summary of Things To Do Near Cheticamp:

1. Hike the famous Skyline Trail in Cape Breton Highlands National Park. Enjoy dramatic headland cliffs overlooking the rugged coast from the end of this level trail. You can enjoy an eagle's view of the Cabot Trail as it winds its way down the mountain.

2. Enjoy whale watching and coastal tours offered by local operators. Watch for whales in the Gulf of St. Lawrence from the viewing decks. Moose, bald eagles, bears and numerous boreal birds live here.

3. Enjoy live Celtic and Fiddle music at the Doryman Pub and Grill and Le Gabriel restaurants (just 15 min away).

4. Le Portage 18-Hole Golf Course. Tee off beneath the Cape Breton Highlands.

5. Museum/Gallery/Cultural Center -- At Les Trois Pignons heritage center you can dive into the Acadian culture and the history of Chéticamp, view an impressive collection of tapestries, rare hook rugs and antiques. There is also a genealogy resource centre.

6. Hike to the swimming hole at the Cheticamp Gypsum quarry. This is a short hike on an established trail/ ATV track that leads you to a beautiful, secret swimming spot near Cheticamp.

7. Swimming at Cheticamp Island Beach. Drive down Cheticamp island road and stop and park at sand dunes.

Wonderful place with a gorgeous view
We spent a week on Cape Breton in this beautiful property for our first stay in Nova Scotia. The house is well equipped and has a high standard. Perfect Oceanfront Stay with Exceptional Service
We had an amazing family vacation at this beautiful location. The property was spotless, very well managed, and perfectly situated with stunning ocean views. Perfection
This property is perfectly situated on Cape Breton. It faces the wayer (big windows) in Kitchen, dining area, living area and bedroom. It is spotless. The kitchen is extremely neat and organized. The fridge was spotless and no odor. Yhe dining area(open to the kitchen) is all windows. The master bedroom and bath were nicely decorated, Bed was extremely comfortable. There were plenty of ectra linens, should we have neefed them. Washer and dryer came in very handy as we had traveled long term. Laundry detergent was available. The property is on the ocean cliffside. There were both Adirondack chairs as well as zero-gravity chairs for us to use. ALL were clean and in great condition. Michael was extremely responsive to our inquiries both before booking, as well as during the period prior to check-in. Also, the instructions on entering the home and rules of the home were clear and reasonable. These rules ensure the home is well cared for and reaffirms pride in ownership. When we arrived, the owner asked us to call him to chat. Michael made sure we had what we needed and that all was good and in working order. He even offered ideas on what to do in the area. Parking is easy and generous. We have rented homes often and this property is the cleanest, best organized we have ever had. Thank you Michael for making our stay so wonderful. We will return and will try one of your other properies next time.

Convenient location with great ocean view
The high bank peaceful ocean front property offers spectacular sunset views over the ocean from the spacious deck. At night one can fall asleep listening to the ocean waves crashing onto the rocks below. Excellent location near the Cheticamp visitor center for the Cape Breton Highlands National Park. A perfect starting point for the first days of our week long journey on the Cabot Trail. The owner, Michael Stein, was very helpful from the day we made our reservation through our stay. He has a sincere desire to make your stay as wonderful and worry free as possible. Highly recommend.

PRIME Location!
The house was perfect for the three of us. Lovely living room and kitchen. Ten minutes south of Cheticamp where we purchased groceries and NSLB. Minutes from the National Highland Park. Back deck is west facing and always a breeze!

Incredible views and beautiful home!
We really loved staying at this beautiful place. The views of the ocean are amazing and you can see them from every spot in the home. The back deck was lovely to enjoy coffee in the evening and watch the sunset. The house itself is immaculately clean and very well appointed for a five-star stay. We would definitely stay here again. Spectacular Stay in Cap de Moine
Our stay at this beautiful ocean front home was nothing less than perfect. Michael was a fabulous host - making sure we had detailed instructions prior to arrival and following up with a quick call when we arrived to make sure everything was satisfactory. The house is lovely with a very attractive decor and stunning views of the coast from inside and from the deck. It was sparkling clean and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. Michael’s home was very clean and well stocked and the ocean view was magnificent. It was a bit of driving as we went back and forth to Cheticamp several times but beautiful and peaceful at the home. Our stay was wonderful. The home was lovely with an amazing view. Morning coffee in the kitchen looking at the water was very special. The location is outside of towns to the north and south but a quick drive that allows you to take in the views.

The property is well kept and perfect spot to shoot time lapse sun sets. Well stocked and appliances all very nice. Though we did not use the washer and drier it was nice to have. Beds were very comfortable and the view from the deck was phenomenal.
