This 2 bedroom 2 bathroom stand-alone home has enough yard for your kids and pets to play plus room to park your boat. Around the corner from groceries and only a short 3 min drive to all Cape Charles offers... charming shops, restaurants, the beach, etc. Perfect for couples, families, fishing trips, friends' getaways, special occasions, etc.

PETS: We allow up to 2 well-behaved dogs with an additional $75 payment per stay and require the following agreements:

-Dogs are not allowed on the furniture.

-Dogs will be crated when owners are not present

-Dogs are up to date on all flea & tick treatments. (proof provided upon request)

*HOUSE RULES*

1. NO SMOKING OR VAPING. You must be at least 25 ft away from the home and please dispose of all trash. We will impose an additional charge if our cleaning staff smells smoke after your stay.

2. NO EVENTS, GATHERINGS, OR PARTIES. No outside guests are allowed on the property without the permission of the hosts. We reserve this space for our confirmed, overnight guests.

3. UP TO 2 DOGS ALLOWED (see additional requirements above). Extra charges will be assigned if there is evidence of damage upon departure.

4. Quiet hours outside after 10pm for the neighbors, please.

5. Please FOLLOW CHECKOUT INSTRUCTIONS in the Guest Manual before departing.

6. SHOES OFF the carpet, sofa & rugs so that we may keep the house in top condition.

*We do not rent to anyone under the age of 25.

Long weekend at Cape Charles

Stayed for a long weekend with my Cousin and his wife to check out Cape Charles. The house was cozy and very workable e.g. kitchen etc. Ate out some but also cooked a meal or 2. House is close to many restaurants and shopping for wives. Beds were especially comfortable and walk in shower great for us oldies.

Cape Charles getaway

We really enjoyed our time in Cape Charles and staying in Sea Cottage. It was clean, comfortable and just a sweet little house. It is located just a couple miles from downtown Cape Charles, but quickly and easily accessible to everything. For those with any mobility issues there are a few steps to get in and then inside there are two steps between the two sections of the house. There is a large walk in shower that was nice to use. We will definitely stay here again.

Highly recommend!

This was our first time in Cape Charles and The Sea Salt Cottage was part of the reason the trip was so great! First of all, we were happy to find a nice place to stay that allowed us to bring our dog. The cottage was very clean and well decorated. The location was perfect! Only several minutes to the local shops, restaurants and the beach. There were so many things to do! (Even with a dog - most places were very dog friendly) We drove to Wachapreague (30 min) one day for lunch and went up to Chincoteague (70 min) another day for a scenic boat cruise. If we weren’t so busy exploring we would have used the fire pit out back of the cottage which also looked very nice and relaxing. Would definitely book this cottage again :)

Very nice property, spacious and well equipped. We used the grill and so wanted to roast marshmallows on the fire pit but it was just too hot and humid. Good ac and hot water. Large kitchen and plenty of eating/sitting area. Very convenient location. We really liked all the paintings, beautiful pieces! Thanks for sharing your property, we’d definitely book again.

Nice Spot

This house is older, but is clean and well kept. The porch and backyard were perfect spots to enjoy the outdoors. The driveway is a real plus. It has room to park cars and a boat. The host was quick to respond both times we contacted him. The house is a quick bike ride to town, but not in the middle of the hustle and bustle. Get ready to relax!

Cape Henry Weekend

My father and I attended my niece's wedding in Cape Charles. We enjoyed our stay and everything was as advertised. Very clean and tidy. I would recommend this house to anyone looking for a nice, clean and quiet place to stay. It is about a mile or so outside of town.

Tranquil is exactly right

My husband, our dog and I had a wonderfully restful time at the Sea Salt Cottage. There was plenty of room and everything we would need for our long weekend stay. Our plan was to do nothing but relax and play with our dog, and that exactly what we did. The house was comfortable, convenient, and the yard was perfect for throwing the tennis ball or taking walks. If we decide to come back to Cape Charles this summer we will certainly stay here again.

Awesome place relax after a day at the beach

This house is spacious and comfortable. The neighborhood is quiet and it is a short drive to town and the beach. The rooms are larger and it was exactly as pictured. We had a great time and would stay here again!

Nice Comfortable House

The Cottage was very comfortable for 4 adults and a dog. Check in was easy as was checkout. The beds were comfortable. One bathroom has been remodeled, however the shower floor is a little slippery and the other is older but clean. The kitchen was useable, there are no large frying pans and there were no pot holders for removing items from the oven. The vent fan also did not work. The dinning table was large enough to seat 6 people. The living room furniture is comfortable. The large screen TV in the living room did not get live TV, it was all APs. The welcome guide said they had Spectrum for live TV, they did not. We sent several messages and they were very responsive, however we never did get the life TV to work. The beach is about 15 minutes away. There is a very nice charcoal grill and fire pit. Our week away was just what we needed and the house met our needs. I recommend this home for your vacation.

Overall, the four of us enjoyed the house. Would we return? Probably not. LR furniture was comfortable. LR was nicely decorated. No heat in bedrooms. (And therefore there wouldn’t be any AC in summer). Ceiling vents were closed/painted shut. The drain in King BR shower clogged one night and water spilled out onto floor. Unclogged on its own. Fine after that. Window screens and window sills were filthy. Only one set of towels in each bedroom. Would have appreciated a 2nd set in each bath. No hand towels in 2nd bedroom. House location convenient to town, but not in a very attractive area.
