Stay a Boord Guest house

Backup power would be Good , this problem is here for a long time so gear your place so that guests can always have power . Lots of ants even in my bed , sort the DSTV connection in the room is stayed !! NO DSTV

Dear BeyersThank you for staying with us. 1. The DSTV was sorted out as soon as you reported it. You know this because you watched TV afterwards? 2. The ants were also sorted out at once. You never reported it. 3. With the back-up power you suggest, you would not be able to afford our rates. So your plan is simply not financially viable for a small business such as ours.However: We do already have a very strong inverter for some lights, a gas stove for a hot breakfast, we have strong back-up lighting in all the rooms and we always have wifi. The entire SA is in the same boat.

Good, but has potential to be great!

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast is basically a full English (eggs your way, gammon, beans, mushrooms, toast etc), and was good. There was also some yogurt, muesli, a few cereals & a couple juice options. Nothing impressive, but solid. Now onto the building itself, which is beautiful. You can definitely see the potential, and what it could be with a little updating. We stayed in a family room and it was spacious, with a living room, small kitchen counter (microwave, sink etc), a master bedroom with a king bed, and a children's bedroom with 4 kid size bunk beds. The one and only bathroom is located in the children's bedroom, and is considerably small. Not an ideal location, especially if you have to use it during the night and have to walk into, and through the kids' bedroom. I could see this being an issue for parents of children who are light sleepers. The entire unit was clean (for the most part), but worn. You can definitely feel it's age. A new coat of paint & a few nice pieces of furniture would go a long way. There is a pool out back with a covered pergola. It's only a small lap pool, but sufficient to get you cooled off. Overall, our stay was pleasant. There was nothing wrong with the property. It just has so much more potential than it currently shows. The location is good, the rooms are spacious, and breakfast is included. If the price is right, I'd recommend.

Frühstück toll hergemacht! Lage in der Nähe einer Straße, aber okay Bestellung etwas eng, ander als auf Fotos, aber großer Raum

Staff was extremely helpful and thoughtful. In the evening we had a fire started for us as well as hot water bottles placed at the foot of our bed to warm it up! Felt safe and sleep well on the comfortable bed. Great spot to visit local wineries, parking available and rooms were big! I would stay here again.
