Publié le 1 nov. 2019 sur HomeAwayMaison très bien située pour visiter Le Cap et ses environs. La maison est spacieuse et magnifique avec une belle vue sur la mer. La communication avec Elspeth la propriétaire a été excellente. Sur place, nous avons été très bien accueillis par Barry. Je recommande cette maison pour un séjour au Cap.

We met Janene, the property manager, upon arriving at Mermaid Rock Cottage. She provided fruit for our stay, and showed us around the cottage, which is lovely.
The views of False Bay are simply out of this world!
Would stay again!

Positively Charming Holiday Stay
Publié le 12 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayMy husband and I spent 4 lovely nights in this charming cottage overlooking False Bay, in Simon’s Town, Cape Town, South Africa. It had everything we needed and the local manager who checked us in was fantastic and provided lots of recommendations for places to go, sites to see, and where to eat. We enjoyed walking down to the beach to see penguins and other wildlife. We were even once greeted by a baboon calling out from the top of a house nearby. The view is breathtaking! You can see the sunrise over the bay in the morning as you drink your coffee on the portico or from the seating area inside. The owner has numerous potted plants as well as grape vines adorning the entrance way and outdoor seating areas. There is a beautiful mosaic mermaid mural which represents the naming of the cottage. Communication before and during the stay was with both the owner and the manager was excellent. We would love to stay here again in the future. A few days here left us wanting more.

Really great house with a fantastic terrace

The street where the house is located is very calm, so every evening we feeled like we're the only ones out there. The barbecue ofcourse also made the outside place feel like home. The garden was maintained well. Inside the house we loved the space and the double bathroom. The contact with the host was really good.
