No value for money !!
Publié le 27 janv. 2014 sur Hotelsconsidering the high price we paid, I was expecting something truly exceptionnal which turned out not to be the case at all in comparison with other much cheaper guesthouses that we stayed in South Africa. No Wonder that we were almost the only guests in the place! Staff was friendly but incompetent, providing wrong information and the room was not being cleaned (there were spiders all over the place and a huge insect body stayed on the carpet for the four days of our stay).

- freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal gab uns Tipps für Restaurants zum Abendessen,
- große und saubere Zimmer,
- liebevoll gestalteter und großzügige Gartenanlage
- aufgrund der Lage und da kein Abendessen angeboten wird, ist ein Auto notwendig, um nach Fraenschock zum Abendessen zu fahren
- Pool hätte sauberer sein können,
- Zustand der Poolauflagen war schlecht,
- Kaffee zum Frühstück war nicht gut,
- laute und tropfende Klimaanlage im Zimmer

A hidden gem in the hills
Publié le 20 juill. 2019 sur HotelsVal D'Or is a hidden treasure in Franschoek. We went for the Bastille Day Festival, and our stay was perfect. The room was spacious and comfy, the grounds are impeccably landscaped, and the breakfast was delightful. Go!

We stayed in the 2 bedroom Villa and I must say the pictures online don't do this place justice. It is beautiful, comfortable and very relaxing. Plus very great for young kids as well.
We totally enjoyed our stay and loved every bit of Franschhoek.

Perfect for family!
Publié le 11 mars 2018 sur HotelsMe and my wife and our two kids spend three nights there. We were more than satisfied! Good room, excellent breakfast and nice pool and lawn for the kids to play on!
We hopefully will get back on day!
