Cottage in beautiful setting
Publié le 19 déc. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis is the second time we have visited here. It is a quiet, peaceful setting (except for a very loud frog chorus at night). We enjoyed the lanai and watching the birds at the feeder. The neighborhood beach park is very close.

Relaxing Stay

We miss the place

We loved walking to the waters near the property, and observing how the scenery changes depending on the tide. The sights, sounds are just so beautiful during the day and at night. We loved the floor plan of the property and how it is well integrated with the surrounding nature outdoors. The fruits that we can pick off the trees on the property are delicious!

Perfect family beach house

Family trip for snorkeling enthusiasts!
Publié le 12 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayWe loved our stay at Catherine's home. It was perfect for our family. The home was exactly as described. There was plenty of room for our family of 5 (which includes 3 teenagers!!!). The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed for preparing meals. We loved falling asleep listening to the coqui frogs and waking up to the birds. All day the breeze would bring in the scent of plumeria. We enjoyed coffee on the lanai every morning.
We couldn't have been more thrilled with the location. We had access to some of the best snorkeling spots in the state of Hawaii within walking distance (Manini beach) or a short drive away (two-step, Captain Cook). We also spent some time at Keei beach - where we had the place to ourselves. Breathtakingly beautiful! The home was away from the hustle and bustle of Kona and the resorts of Kohala. This was exactly what we were looking for.
We had a wonderful stay here and would love to return soon!

Great Spot
Publié le 27 mai 2024 sur HomeAwayThe house was in an ideal location in a small, quiet community near the beach. The property manager was there to greet us when we arrived and answer any questions. There was a binder with plenty of great suggestions for things to do and places to eat. It really felt like a home away from home. It was nice to have an ice chest , beach towels etc to use while we were there and the kitchen had everything we needed. Do bring earplugs if croaking frogs bother you at night! We spent the week exploring the island and were so happy to have a beautiful spot to come home to every afternoon!

Outstanding experience away from the bustle of crowds
Publié le 24 janv. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe had a lovely week. The accommodations are comfortable, the location is tucked away from the public and very close to the best snorkeling on the island.
We had plenty of room for our group of 6 including 2 teenagers. There was plenty of room to gather together and also enough for everyone to have their own space.
Everyday we picked fresh fruit from the property's trees. There are boogie boards, snorkel equipment, beach chairs and a beach umbrella for daily excursions.
You wont find anywhere closer to "old Hawaii" in a tucked away neighborhood with significant Hawaiian history a short walk away.
