Publié le 12 mars 2022 sur HomeAwayWe love South Seas but not the unit. The “sunrise” view is only seen by standing on toes, as this 2nd floor unit is behind mangrove trees. Few amenities in the condo. Needs serious cleaning. Love Captiva itself and rented bikes and a golf cart from YOLO which was great.

Publié le 20 févr. 2022 sur HomeAwayLiteral paradise. The proximity to the beach, pools and restaurants is ideal. The unit is super clean and as advertised. You will need quarters for the communal laundry.
A few things that would have made the stay a bit better would be adding some essentials to the unit. For example,
- bulk toilet paper & paper towels (instead of 1 roll for an entire week)
- garbage bags and cleaning supplies (again, when staying for a week, these items are necessary)
- a vacuum or broom with dust pan (again, would be very helpful with all of the sand)
- filtered water or larger jugs for filling (the tap water tastes like salt)
- and finally, salt and pepper, food storage and bag clips would be great for longer stays.
We were able to purchase these items on the island, but when flying in from out of state would have been nice to have on site.
We will definitely be back, we absolutely loved the island and resort. It was a treat!

Nice apt in great location though a few limitations.
Publié le 7 févr. 2022 sur HomeAwayThe unit was sufficient and as advertised though the kitchen was poorly stocked. There were not enough pots/pans/lids to cook dinner. There were no staples for cooking nor storing food.
It wasn't clear that many of the resort's amenities were not available to us as VRBO guests. The gym, trolley and all resort restaurants were off limits as a VRBO apt.

It was not clear on Expedia site that the amenities like pools, beach chairs, umbrellas, restaurants, etc. were not available with this rental.

Perfect for me!
Publié le 12 mai 2021 sur HomeAwayI booked this villa the night before going ! It was a great getaway! The property manager was very responsive to my questions and was very accommodating with a personal request with checking in.
The Villa itself had all the basic necessities for me but would need a bit more for 3+ people . More Kitchen utensils and serving bowls, baking sheets and dish towels are needed.
The view is beautiful but is a bit obstructed by the hedge. A high top table would be nice to enjoy a better view. The morning sunrise is not to be missed!
There is an umbrella and cart for the beach but the chairs provided are not really beach chairs.... they are folding stadium chairs .
I brought my own so it wasn’t a problem.
Location was greatest it is close to the beach and“downtown” of Captiva.
I would stay there again !
