Fabulous stay
Publié le 3 août 2024 sur HomeAwayLight, bright spacious kitchen dining area. Good sized bedrooms. Lovely open living area with comfy sofas. The garden is a bonus for drying wetsuits or, more importantly, sitting out in of an evening with a beer or two. The property has its own parking area alongside the house, separate from the car park, which you wouldn’t know was there without looking. A really quiet area within 2 minutes stroll the town centre.

Idyllic villa by Teifi river

All amenities, cooking . bathroom and sleeping are thoughtfully provided . Sunny sheltered rear patio and garden. Clear instructions and communications from Susie. Easy walking distance ( 10 mins ) to Cardigan restaurants and pubs . Stunning walk along cliff tops at Gwber / Golf course hotel ... don,t miss it. Thanks Susie fro a memorable family gathering location

Beautiful Spacious Cottage Centrally Located
Publié le 13 août 2023 sur HomeAwayBeautiful! Great facilities, especially suited for families with older children. Open stairs not good for very young children I'd say. Centrally located and benefiting from being close by to lots of cafes, restaurants, pubs etc but also a very quiet end of town next to the river. Lovely walk to the wildlife centre and Poppit Sands is a 10 minute drive. The best beach ever for soft buttery sand and no rocks or stones. We enjoyed a lovely swim here. The cottage was a lovely base for us benefitting from both the old stone cottage and modern aspects of an extension with a lovely modern kitchen and bathrooms. Beds were comfy and we all felt recharged after out stay. Only grumble was that we forgot to bring bathroom towels so had to nip to Tesco for some. We were warned but forgot them. So much to do and see in the area. Susie's cottage was a perfect base for us. We would definitely return!

Brilliant stay in Cardigan
Publié le 5 août 2023 sur HomeAwaySusie’s house is homely, comfortable, characterful and perfectly big enough for 7 of us over 3 generations and in a brilliant quiet, central location, so we didn’t feel we had to get in the car all the time.
We love Cardigan and the area - the weather was pretty rubbish for July/August but we all agreed Susie’s house was the best place you would want to be stuck indoors on a rainy summer’s day! Plenty of great places to eat in Cardigan (Copper Pot, Print Works especially) and loads of fab day trips within really easy reach - waterfalls, Mwnt, Penbryn, Poppit Sands, Teifi marshes (easy walk along the tow path), dolphin watching from New Quay, seal spotting at Cardigan Island Coastal Farm Park. We all had a really lovely relaxing time. And although we didn’t have our dogs with us this time, the garden is lovely and would be secure for most dogs (except those who would choose to leap over 4 foot solid walls!)

We loved the house and its location - very handy for Cardigan shops, pubs and so on.
Publié le 14 avr. 2022 sur HomeAwayWell equipped, with a lovely light kitchen/dining/living area at the back, and a cosy living room in front. The only problem was that noise from the TV and conversation kept people awake in the 2 bedrooms above the living room, when they wanted an early night.

Cardigan Bay Cottage
Publié le 13 oct. 2021 sur HomeAwayThe Cottage was advertised as having 2 Bathrooms , a Dryer, a King size bed in the 2 nd bedroom upstairs. The Cottage only has 1 Bathroom with a toilet upstairs, No Dryer - a clothes horse , the bed is a Double.
It is spacious in an excellent location. The kitchen is fairly new as is the Bathroom unfortunately this was let down by the cleanliness of the place. On the surface it did look clean but there were thick cobwebs/dirt everywhere & crumbs & dead flies under the microwave. There was a musty smell. The light shades over the island in the kitchen were particularly dirty . The side /top of the Freezer was very dirty . The Cooker Hood was thick with dirt . We did speak to the Owner who did send in the cleaner but she didn’t clean thoroughly This did spoil our holiday we were there for 2 wks, in the end I did some cleaning . But pulling all the hairs from the bath plug hole & finding a dirty sock & used tissues under the beds was the final straw we left early.
I did speak to the Owner who apologised etc but didn’t offer any refund, we did pay a lot of money to stay here . I believe we are still waiting for a breakages refund ?

Thank you for your 3 star review. We're glad you enjoyed the location of the house despite the weather being very mixed, with a lot of rain and your decision to leave the day before.
I understand from my housekeeper, before you arrived, it had been a stressful time for you, as you thought you might have to cancel your holiday, as your dog was unwell, so we were pleased you were able to get to Cardigan.
I contacted you on your 6th day - Thursday, to check all was going well, when you told me that the cleaning was not to your liking or standard.
I apologised and sent my cleaner in, and would have done so earlier, if you'd raised it with me.
We were mystified by the 'musty smell' we haven't had that feedback before.
After the cleaner came in, you texted me to say that "two Joules Limited edition jumpers were missing from your bedroom" . I asked the cleaner about this, which caused a lot of distress.
You told me that the cleanliness and "more seriously the mysterious disappearance of your jumpers" had ruined your holiday.
However when you got home, you texted again, to apologise, to say you had found your jumpers in your luggage after all.
For clarity, I have spoken to VRBO.
On the listing box, I ticked 'clothes dryer' that I interpreted as a 'clothes horse' & also ticked washing machine. This translated as 'washer/dryer' on the listing. I have now corrected this misreading, to a Bosch washing machine. The 2 bathroom descriptions, are fully outlined on the listing.
The bed description should read as a King size bed, not a Superking bed, apologies for this error & has been adjusted.
The day after you arrived back home, I called and spoke to both you and your husband and the issue of compensation didn't arise.

Week in Cardigan
Publié le 7 sept. 2021 sur HomeAwayGreat location close to centre and just a short 10 min drive to a really nice beach. Garden is fully enclosed which was great for our dog to run around in. Well equipped kitchen too. Would highly recommend a meal at the copper pot and the Mexican takeaway and Crwst for brunch. Had a really enjoyable stay.

A good base, with plenty to do.
Publié le 14 août 2021 sur HomeAwayThis property is well situated, so close to the town but the area is so quiet and tranquil where the house is. We visited lot's of places around Cardigan which was easy to find because we were central to all the places we wanted to visit. Really was a great holiday and would definitely visit again. The house was spacious and well equipped, great for families.

A great week exploring Cardigan
Publié le 24 juill. 2021 sur HomeAwayExcellent location for exploring Cardigan and the surrounding area. Thankful for the old stone walls keeping the house cool during the hottest week of the year! The kitchen equipment could be extended, not enough glasses, non stick frying pan, champagne cork, and baking trays/roasting pans, coffee machine. For the price we paid we had expected a welcome basket and at least a coffee pod/ machine. The cottage doesn’t supply towels which is unusual but we were aware before, and still forgot them! But there is an excellent Factory shop in town.

Sara many thanks for your review. You were so lucky with the weather it's true! Especially as we moved your booking from July 2020 to July 2021 at no extra cost to accommodate your family Covid issue. We held the 2020 price for you so rest assured, you got a bargain! Happy to do this and glad you were grateful. We followed the guidance on Covid measures from the Welsh Government - this meant that no towels or food were to be provided, as stated on the website and in an email. However there are 3 cafetiere's in the kitchen to make coffee. Happy you enjoyed the area - especially the vineyard in Hebron thanks for the tip!
