Relax and unwind in a quiet place surrounded and inspired by nature.  Take a short walk from the house to the small private beach and beautiful bluff to take in spectacular sunsets and marine life.

Situated on 1/2 acre, completely remodeled in 2022 this is an ideal home base to explore the Peninsula. Located 10 minutes from Carmel’s downtown dining & grocery stores, 5 minutes from Point Lobos Nature Preserve, 2 min drive to white sand beaches (see photos) and Garrapatta hiking trails.

After a day of exploring the Peninsula (MB Aquarium, Pebble Beach golf links, wine tasting in Carmel Valley, hiking in Big Sur) return to watch HBO and other premium channels.

Enjoy 3 decks for entertaining or relaxing. Backyard deck has BBQ and outdoor dining table.

Cook’s kitchen with top-of-the-line appliances, Wolf oven, center island with bar stools & ocean view, wine fridge, washer/dryer, generous sized bedrooms with abundant natural light, lovely ocean views or scenic nature views from every window in the house and covered parking in garage.

For nature lovers there is excellent bird watching, migrating whale watching in winter months (from the large dining room table), butterflies, hummingbirds and deer that frequent the area. 

Ideal for 4 guests with a Cal King in the Master, two full beds in the second bedroom. There is also a fold out Queen sofa bed in the living room and a twin rollaway bed in the hall closet.  

 "Basic Instinct" , HBO’s “Big LittleLies” and Clint Eastwood’s ‘Play Misty for Me’ were filmed in this stunning cinematic neighborhood. Come see the dramatic crashing waves that are a hallmark of this area.

Wife's birthday getaway
This place was amazing. We took this as a family getaway and the ambiance and the quietness was refreshing. The property was clean and the house had plenty of natural sunlight. The only downside I would say is that there is minimal cell phone coverage, especially trying to entertain 2 little ones but the wi-fi worked just fine. Communication with the owner was seamless and gave us full confidence to feel like we were home away from home. Definitely want to come back.

Another fabulous stay in Carmel!
This is our second time staying in Margot's beautiful home and once again we had a fabulous stay! The ambience of the home is serene and the beds are so comfortable. We love the huge windows in the dining area that overlook the garden and ocean in the distance. The kitchen has everything one could need. The location simply cannot be beat- the home is within 5 minutes of Point Lobos and 10 minutes of fabulous dining, shopping and art galleries. 10/10 recommend this property!

Great experience. Great owner.
My friends and I stayed for a long weekend. The house was beautiful and comfortable as advertised. There was a little more street noise from the highway than we anticipated, but it didn’t negatively affect our stay at all. The owner was extremely responsive and helpful. She’s the best.

A Natural Haven
This is a gorgeous property with views of the ocean, in a beautiful neighborhood conducive to walking. Yet the lovely landscaping made the outside very private. The house is pristine- has everything you would want during your stay. It is close to great hiking, Carmel and Monterey. The location is close to grocery stores, etc. We adored this home. Margot is always available and answers promptly- a great host! we’ll be back!

Nicely landscaped and maintained....well-stocked kitchen...very comfortable beds and pillows...plush robes and nice bathroom products. Delightful stay ....
Wanted a few days hiking and seeing the sights. The house was spotless, very comfortable and had everything we needed. Location was perfect for getting into Carmel, Point Lobos and surrounding areas. Note that, due to winter storms, the trail to the private beach is pretty torn up and the beach itself is covered in large boulder type pebbles! Notwithstanding that, we highly recommend this property.

Absolutely FABULOUS!
We loved our stay in Margot's spectacular Carmel home! The location is PERFECT- just a 2 min drive from Point Lobos- and the house is beautiful. The beds were the most comfortable of any I've ever experienced during a VRBO stay anywhere (and I've had many!) The house was so peaceful- it made my whole family happy. Margot made everything so easy and communication was fantastic. We cannot wait to return!!!!

House and neighborhood were very nice, with some water view from front main living area and master bedroom, as well as from front patio/deck with fireplace. Met owner/host whom was very friendly. Fantastic stay in the perfect location!
My husband and I had a lovely stay in this beautiful home. The house is stylish and well-appointed, has a well-stocked kitchen, and is very comfortable (e.g., bed and pillows). It’s location- in a quiet neighborhood about a 10-minute drive from “downtown” Carmel and about a short drive to Big Sur- was absolutely perfect. Margot was a great host, appropriately communicative and ensured the property’s pristine condition. There were several nice added touches, including fresh flowers and extremely cozy robes. I would highly recommend this home to others without hesitation and hope to have the opportunity to stay here again!

Absolutely perfect!
Beautiful , clean, well-stocked kitchen and bathrooms; in other words, all you have to do is arrive with your suitcase. The property is well-maintained in a great location, the house decor is classic and comfortable, and host Margot is there when needed ... but we (two couples) didn't need a thing during our five-night stay. Ah, but I bury the lead: We will return to Carmel Riviera!!!

Amazing property with ocean view.
This was a lovely property. The house is beautifully designed and decorated. We were greeted by full bowl of fresh fruit. The house was full of windows and glass doors that connected to the patios and outdoor areas. Lovely landscaping was beautiful and enjoyable. Great location south of Carmel. Easy access to Big Sur and the city of Carmel. House was very clean and quiet. We had an amazing stay and would certainly return on future trips.

A wonderful retreat
One of the few listings that exceeded what was promised and what we expected. The host was generous, gracious, thoughtful, and conscientious. The property was more beautiful than the photos and the location was sublime, especially given the access to a nearby beach. We look forward to staying there sometime in the future.
