Excellent in every way.
Publié le 13 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayVery clean and comfortable. Received a very warm welcome from Jill and Jim. Used as a base for a cycling exploration of the area. Lots of varied routes both on the coast and inland. A multitude of quite country lanes and peaceful villages. Ventured as far as Grizedale and Windermere. Lots of advice and information from the owners who are cyclists too. I did 200 miles in 5 days and only scratched the surface of possibilities. This is top notch accommodation and I will be back again for more.

Schöne Lodge für eine 4 köpfige Familie
Publié le 2 août 2023 sur HomeAwayDie Übergabe von Julie war sehr verlässlich und humorvoll. Die Lodge ist tadellos in Schuss. Wir empfanden ein sehr gutes Preis- Leistungs- Verhältnis. Im Schwimmbad (extra Kosten von ca. 25 Pfund pro Tag und Familie) konnten wir gut entspannen. Die Gegend mit dem Nationalpark Lake District und Lancaster ist eine Reise wert. Wir haben uns in der gepflegten Lodge sehr wohl gefühlt.

Lovely stay.
Publié le 2 avr. 2023 sur HomeAwayLovely experience from start to finish. Julie and Jim were very welcoming on arrival. The lodge is well taken care of and has everything you need for a stay away from home. It’s a great base to relax and/or explore.

Publié le 7 sept. 2022 sur HomeAwayJust what we both needed. The wooden veranda caught the sun perfectly all day, Retiring in the evening to a cosy clean interior. Close to Morecambe and Kendal. With Carnforth a 10 minute drive for your necessities shopping. The owners were friendly, it was hard to stop chatting and depart. All in all a delightful experience.

SUPERB LODGE & LOCATION
Publié le 4 juill. 2022 sur HomeAwayThe property was exactly as described with the quality of furnishings, fixtures and fittings all to an extremely high standard. The location and situation of the lodge allows you to make the most of any sunshine at all times of the day and the quiet well maintained complex is a pleasure to visit. Julie & Jim were excellent hosts and made sure we were soon settled into the lodge with the minimum of fuss. Nothing was to much trouble and it was a pleasure to meet them. The complex is located within easy reach of public transport allowing the car to be "left at home" if need be. Would certainly visit the accommodation again and can certainly understand why it is so popular. A big thanks to Julie & Jim.

Excellent stay

Julie and Jim are lovely people, they're great hosts and gave us a very warm welcome.
The lodge itself is beautiful and spotlessly clean and you can tell that Julie and Jim take pride in it, everything is thought of and it feels very comfortable and homely. The decking in the sunshine is lovely and peaceful. We enjoyed a glass of wine and a book or a board game in the evening. Wifi is included which was great and an ensuite plus another bathroom with a bath was luxury!
It's the perfect location to explore the Lakes or the Yorkshire Dales, we even drove up to Carlisle and then Scotland very easily for a day. The bar and restaurant on site is nice, although it's best to book if you'd like to eat. We didn’t get the time unfortunately to use the pool, but it looked good.
Thank you both so much for a lovely week, we had a great time and would love to return again.

The welcome was warm and Julie and Jim were most accommodating with our questions . The lodge itself was clean and tidy and I could not fault it at all . The wifi was good, we had the tv and all the appliances worked well. Beds were comfy and bathrooms were clean . On-site facilities were good, bar and restaurant were excellent. Would not hesitate to recommend this property and will stay again in the future .

Amazing lodge & amazing hosts

The location is ideal as it was so quiet and peaceful, we will be back. Jim & Julie were amazing and made us feel so welcome, 5 star⭐ host's.
