5 Beck Head
Publié le 1 janv. 2024 sur HomeAwayGreat property beautifully furnished and equipped with lots of special Christmas touches. Kim is a great host who responds really promptly to queries. I can’t recommend this properly highly enough for a Christmas break.

Perfect Place in Kirkby Lonsdale

Three large bedrooms (two en suite and one luxurious bathroom for all), and a lovely living and eating space downstairs. The house had everything we needed and it's central location made it simple to go shopping, get a coffee, or go out for a meal. The Dales are on your doorstep and the Lake District is a 30 minute drive. We could not have been happier with our choice of lodging. Kim was a gracious and very responsive owner -- I'm pretty sure she has thought of everything, but if not, she was ready to take care of any issues that arose.
My only word of advice is about parking. There is no specific parking for the house and street parking is hard to come by. There is a community lot a five minute walk which worked fine for us and had the bonus of being next to the lovely Booth grocery store.

Yes free street parking at peak times can be difficult in a small town but ample , inexpensive car parks are available around town & all within a short walk.

Kimberley was an excellent host, answering concerns and questions quickly and her recommendations for dinner and activities were spot on. Lovely little town filled with friendly, helpful people. So thankful that we got to experience that part of England!

Relaxing stay in Kirkby Lonsdale
Publié le 29 sept. 2021 sur HomeAwayWe thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kim's gorgeous house in Kirkby Lonsdale. It really is a 'home from home' and has everything you could need during your stay! It might be an old cottage but everything in it is to a high standard, you'd never know. We didn't actually eat out much as the lounge/dining area is so cosy, plus there's a Booths a 5 or so minutes walk away.
The house is also a stone's throw away from the bars and restaurants which is great but our one piece of advice would be to book a cream tea at least 24 hours in advance if you want one at the Royal Hotel!
