I mistakenly took the parking pass home & am waiting on an address to mail it to?!

Run down w/ a dirty ashtray and cigarette butts
Publié le 26 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayWhen I arrived, the door lock was broken and could not be locked from the outside. on the deck was a dirty ashtray and two cigarette butts. the microwave was broken. and the pictures were outdated and did not reflect how much the property was run down. And when I contacted the host, she accused me of doing it all. Btw, I've never taken the drag of a cigarette in my entire life.

Disappointing
Publié le 6 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis could have been a really nice little get away had the unit been clean. Most every surface was covered in dust. The bathroom was covered in fuzzy clumps of dirt and dust. The fire alarm did not appear to be working. We actually left early as my allergies were acting up so bad. I did contact the owner and sent pictures. The only reply we got was “thanks for the pictures.” No offer whatsoever to make things right. I do not recommend staying here.

Melissa let's call this what it is. Lies and exaggerations to try & hustle money from me. You initially claimed the condo was covered with a thick layer of dust & that the floors were so nasty, your husband had to clean them. I had just been there so I knew this to be false. I asked for pictures of the dust, the cleaning supplies & mop used on the floor & any receipts for items that you paid for. The pictures of the dust were ridiculous. And this review stating that every surface was covered in dust?? Photos showed light dust on doorbell chime high above tall cabinet, a wall outlet with a nightlight & light dust on bathroom fixture high on wall behind the lights. You claimed twice to have bought your own cleaning supplies so you didn't purchase any, but provided no picture of supplies. You stated your husband cleaned the floor with water & paper towels(no mop) & he didn't use a cleaner due to it being a real hardwood floor. If he did indeed get on all fours to scrub the floor he would, without a doubt, know that it is luxury vinyl planks. To claim you had to leave early due to "allergies" is a joke also. You said you brought your own cleaning supplies, why did you bring them if you didn't intend to clean anything, especially if it's just barely some dust? You broke my smoke detector and took 1 of my kitchen towels. To leave a 1 star review to try to hurt my business (which I depend heavily on this income) because your scam didn't work, is very disturbing to say the least.

The location is great - we rented bicycles which were delivered to the condo and were able to bike everywhere and never worry about parking. It's about a 10-15 minute leisurely bike to the boardwalk area.
The balcony is 100ft from the ocean - I think we could actually feel the spray at times. No direct access from the facility due to the rocks valiantly holding back the waves. Beach access is about a 300 ft walk down the street to the next public access point - which is really no different than walking the length of a typical hotel.
I was worried about cleanliness based on reviews - but things were acceptable (not exceptional). No extra toilet paper or trash bags but there's a market w/in walking distance we bought extras
I would have appreciated some extra bedding and blankets - there was a comforter & sheets for the pullout couch but no more than that.
The pullout couch mattress is terrible and looks like its about to fall through - don't plan on using it. Our daughter just slept on the couch and not the pullout part, so I would say this VRBO sleeps 3 at most.
The pictures shown as of September 2024 are very accurate and truthfully reflect the condo and its condition.
There were plenty of pots to cook every day and enough utensils to make do.
Checkout chores were pretty simple -take out the trash, start the dishwasher, and un-make the bed. Another reviewer complained about starting laundry but that wasn't on our list of tings to do.

Girls Trip 2024
Publié le 4 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe emailed and ask about the pool and where it was located due to having a key in the room and NEVER a response during the whole trip and still not a response to this day! We also felt like after paying a cleaning fee we should not have to wash laundry and do dishes for the maid before leaving! But we will book elsewhere next time.

I have looked through all of our communication and do not see an email inquiring about the location of the pool. Also, I do not ask that you do laundry, only that you gather the dirty linens and place them in the bathroom. Nor do I ask that you wash dishes. Only that you place them in the dishwasher and start it. There's a lot more required when cleaning and sanitizing the condo than gathering dirty linens and loading the dishwasher. These are the minimum that are asked of guests and I think you'll find this wherever you stay, except motels.

Publié le 23 août 2024 sur HomeAwayWe were disappointed in the on line presentation of beach access. The condo was run down, not very clean, needs updated furnishings both inside and out. It was not real clean when we arrived and had limited towels and no bath or hand soap, extra toilet paper or garbage bags. We would not recommend this condo unless some of needed updates are addressed.

Loved the ocean view. The beach access was a walk from the location. The bed was very firm. Overall a nice place.
