Cozy retreat close to trails
Publié le 11 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayMy coworkers and I stayed at this very comfortable home for 2 nights. We had plenty of space both to ourselves and to mingle with each other. The home is close to trails and a great launching point for exploring Gifford Pinchot.

Great place to stay to explore the area
Publié le 2 août 2024 sur HomeAwayWe enjoyed the natural setting and quiet area and it was a great jumping off point for exploring the Carson and greater Columbia Gorge area. Wish we had even more time to stay and explore! We rented the two houses in the area and this worked very well for our small group - everyone was very comfortable and we were all able to gather in the larger house for meals. The houses are restored very nicely!

Lovely and Peaceful

We stayed during the heat wave in July and the air conditioning was heavenly (We only used the downstairs bedrooms. The upstairs might have been warmer). It is quiet, and we loved the big living room windows showing the pastoral scene across the street. There was a herd of cows grazing peacefully morning and evening. As others have mentioned, the kitchen supplies were basic and there are no curtains for the windows. But this no-frills couple was very happy. I would definitely stay here again!

It does seems like many kitchen utensils are missing, since previous visits - but we muddled through.
Shower knob needs repair or replacement.

Historic Getaway
Publié le 4 sept. 2023 sur HomeAwayThis was a great spot dor our family from both sides of the state to meet and spend the weekend. There were bedrooms enough for us all to have our own sleeping space and common space where we could all enjoy games together. We enjoyed the proximity to hiking and the outdoor spaces. We also loved learning about the history of Wind River. Thank you for keeping the home historic as much as possible. We just loved it here!
