Nestled in the heart of the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area, this newly built home boasts an open-floor concept, cozy sleeping arrangements, and unbelievable mountain & Columbia River views. Whether you're rafting & hiking in the summer or skiing & snowmobiling in the winter, this getaway offers easy access to an array of year-round sports in the Carson & Hood River area!

Cruise along the scenic roads of Carson to find your tastefully appointed home-away-from-home. Inside offers 1,760 square feet of living space, where vaulted ceilings and a wealth of windows bring the immaculate mountain and river views into the home.

The living room is not only a great place to soak up the views, but is also the perfect spot to kick back and relax. Melt into the plush sofa or armchairs, flip on the gas fireplace, and stream your favorite show on the flat-screen TV!

As the group grows hungry, get to work in the fully equipped kitchen outfitted with stainless steel appliances. After all of the food is prepped and ready, settle at the breakfast bar or elegant 8-person table for a quality meal with your loved ones.

When the sun sets, lounge on the furnished deck and share a bottle of wine while soaking up the spectacular views. With southern exposure, you can revel at the gorgeous Columbia River and some sensational sunrises!

For a replenishing night's sleep, retreat to one of 3 bedrooms throughout the home, all with brand new memory foam-topped mattresses. The third bedroom includes twin beds that can be elevated at the head and foot by remote. There are also 2 bathrooms in the home, one with a walk-in shower and the other with a shower/tub combo.

With 'Gorge Retreat's' amazing location, you'll be within minutes of endless outdoor activities! Go hiking or mountain biking at Dog Mountain Trail, take a zip lining tour with Skamania Lodge, or go golfing at Elk Ridge Golf Course.

The Pacific Crest Trail and Gorge National Scenic Area are also nearby, where you're sure to have an unbelievable day of exploring the wilderness! Also be sure to check out the Bridge of the Gods in Cascade Locks which connects Oregon and Washington.

Columbia River and Lake Bonneville are just minutes down the road, making it easy to have some waterfront fun. From kayaking and paddle boarding to windsurfing, kite boarding, and rafting, there's something for people of all ages to enjoy! For a calm day, simply go boating and fishing on the water.

In the winter, go skiing at Mt. Hood Meadows, snowmobiling on one of the local trails, or visit the Carson Hot Springs. You'll also be within minutes of numerous renowned breweries, such as Walking Man Brewing, Backwoods Brewing Company, and Thunder Island Brewing Co.

Another popular hot spot is Hood River, only 35 minutes away, home to several more breweries, the Mount Hood Railroad, and Hood River Waterfront Park. Wine enthusiasts will love being close to numerous vineyards, including Cathedral Ridge Winery, Stave & Stone Winery, and AniChe Cellars.

What a great property! We came into town for a wedding and stayed at this house with family and it was more than big enough. Very clean with super comfy beds and everything you could want! The view out the deck is gorgeous, I wish the weather was better for our stay.

My Daughter and I stayed at the Gorge retreat for three days to celebrate her birthday with the intent to explore the gorge, one of her favorite destinations. This location was perfect for our stay. The location provide easy access to many of the sites in the gorge and is an excellent base for exploration. It is also in a very peaceful area located in a quiet neighborhood with excellent views. We particularly enjoyed returning to this peaceful setting after dealing with the crowds at Multnomah falls! The house had everything that we needed for our stay and I would definitely book this property again.

The Gorge at its best
It's hard to get a sense of the scale of the Gorge, especially from river level. The views from this house do it justice! You can really appreciate the height of the hills, the width of the river, and the majesty of it all. It's a wonderful home.

Beautiful home, great views!
The home was very clean and welcoming. The views are fantastic, deck was sheltered on one side providing a nice respite from the wind. Amenities were great, kitchen was well stocked for cooking. Now for the not so good: The stairs to the garage were, I hope to code, but they felt extremely steep and had a nonexistent railing at the switchback which made them, in my opinion, dangerous for an older adult. The threshold at the top of the stairs was a TRIP hazard. almost 1 inch tall, if you weren't careful you might "roll" down the stairs.

Comfortable Stay
We very much enjoyed our stay at Gorge Retreat. The house was clean, well equipped, and we loved sitting on the deck enjoying the view each day. There are a lot of hikes and things to do within a 10-20 minute drive of the property (the Dog Mountain trailhead was only 10 minutes away) and the neighborhood was quiet. Lots of recommendations from the host, as well as brochures/books on things to do in the area at the house. Would highly recommend!

Stayed at this property for a few days with my kids. Was exactly as represented in the listing. Lovely, well-maintained house, terrific views of the gorge. Check-in/check-out were straightforward and easy. I was very satisfied with the rental, would definitely go back again if I'm in the area.

Gorgeous Gorge
Stunning views accompany a beautiful home with well kept amenities and easy access to trails and sites along the Columbia River Gorge. Since sleeping arrangements are always an unknown with a rental, I want to note the 3 nice size bedrooms (the master has a walkout to porch; one with twin beds) and 2 full baths. There’s a also a couch for a nap. Communication with owner was awesome. My only recommendation is for owner to post more pics of views from home and wraparound porch. It’s a stunning view of a landscape that seems to change by the hour as the sun, mist and clouds make the 4,000 foot cliffs come alive throughout the day.

Close enough to Portland Airport to use as last night - and great place for nature
The purpose of the location was to be in close proximity to eventually exit the place to get to PDX airport. It was 35 minutes away and from the views it could have been 200 miles away. Excellent location to feel nature. Mountains, Waterfalls, Water pictures, National Parks, Hiking, Locks, fish hatchery, The home was very high on a hill - but this gives you access to an amazing view. We had a sunrise that was top 10 in my life. All the home comforts were there. Nice place.

First time to the Columbia Gorge area. So much to see and do. Beautiful scenery. Views from the huge windows across the whole house are always changing…clouds and fog one minute, sunshine the next, sunrise to sunset. House is roomy and comfortable. Gorgeous mountain getaway
We were a party of 6, ranging in ages from 7-78, and everyone had a blast at Agi’s house. The home has a stunning view of the mountains and Columbia River. It was well appointed with anything you would need in the kitchen, bathrooms, and bedrooms….and OMG the beds in all 3 rooms were sooooo comfortable…I’m talking the most comfortable beds of any 5 star home I’ve rented off of VRBO. Close by you will find plenty of things to do from hiking to the Fruit Loop to cute alpaca farms. We loved the Red Bluff Tap House and AJ’s Grocery store had great selections of organic produce, as well as any other items you would need. I highly recommend this house and the surrounding area!
