Good resort with disappointing catering

However, the food in the restaurants (Calablanca and Bahia) is disappointing (Hot beetroot with Burrata, Ceviche, Pizza and Cannelloni way too salty and greasy) and prices exaggerated (16€ for 3 tempura…)
Staff is overall very welcoming at the exception of the “pool guard” at the upper swimming pool who was particularly disrespectful and aggressive.

Magnifique endroit pour se recharger le mental et le corps et les saveurs originales oubliées des fruits.
Les restaurants sont parfaits que ce soit en breakfast ou en soirée et le foodtruck de plage
Le chef et Alexandre d’une disponibilité continuelle ainsi que Stéphanie public relation qui vous organise tout envie

Sofitel Barú Calablanca has also a great team to make your stay unforgettable. Special thanks to Eduardo @ restaurant Humo and to the extraordinary Ernesto Barrios for their outstanding professionalism. Definitely a place I will return to and that I can only recommend.

I have been to many hotels this is my top one ! It’s only about 3 years old super modern fantastic views and the staff is amazing !!! My only complaint is they should have no scales in bathroom that’s the only thing that ruined my trip knowing how much weight I gained lol

Fantastic Hotel. Great Facility and outstanding service. A bit far off from Cartagena and road to Hotel very bumpy as it is not paved. Believe Biat transfer is best option but need to be expanded. Overall fantastic stay!
