NO STORM DAMAGE! Both Highlands and Cashiers are up and running.

This charming farmhouse dates back to 1895, located next to a beautiful rushing creek with a beautiful ole tyme wooden covered bridge. The house was totally remodeled with updated amenities, yet the hundred-year-old charm was maintained. It is set on a 5 1/2 acre fenced-in farm. You will enjoy the stunning Laurel Knob Farm Barn, Pavillion, and Chapel, both handcrafted and outfitted with antique, old-world finishings. There is an apple orchard, a blueberry orchard, and a chicken coup with 10 chickens. Expect to be greeted at the door by our sweet outside farm cat, Milo. Our amazing Caretaker, Osbaldo, also lives in the caretaker's cottage on the grounds. The area is nestled right in between Highlands and Cashiers. (no 4x4 is required to access the home). You can get to either town in less than 15 minutes. The setting is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the mountain atmosphere. Enjoy a cocktail or coffee on the cozy screened-in porch. The fully stocked kitchen has Viking and Sub-Zero appliances. Both baths have relaxing claw foot tubs. There are two working wood-burning stoves, one in the Master bedroom and one in the Living Room. The Master Bedroom (King Bed) is located on the first floor with a great view and the two other bedrooms (one King and one Queen) are located upstairs. Mattresses are super comfortable with high-quality linens.

***The Laurel Knob Farm is a Working Farm with live animals and daily feeding/maintenance operations.

Step back in time, with modern conveniences
Hailey was the best property manager I’ve come across this platform. Very thoughtful of the visit occasion, and had excellent recommendations that made our visit to the area a better experience. The property is well maintained, clean, with all the conveniences of home. Every bed was comfortable. Sheets and towels were of what you find in a nice hotel. Kitchen has everything you need to make a special meal. Firewood was provided, seating both indoors and outdoors was comfortable, and everything worked that we used. The children loved the outdoor space to run around, and of course the TV when they were tired. I would highly recommend this property to friends and family, and would return. Excellent experience, great memories were created here.

The Perfect Farmstay
My husband, 3-year-old son, and I enjoyed a week at this lovely farmhouse. The owners are friendly and attentive without being intrusive. All of the animals were interactive and played perfectly with my son. We loved having access to explore the grounds and admire the chapel. This place truly makes you feel at home. Thank you!

Laurel Knob was the absolutely perfect place to spend quality time with girlfriends especially after a long year at home. We explored the property, fed the horses and sat on the porch drinking wine. Hailey was a host that went above and beyond. Will definitely be back and check out their other properties.

Anniversary Getaway

Best Rental Experience on the most beautiful property
Everything on this trip was superb, from the communication, property, animals, and overall experience. This was truly a one of a kind experience. They went out of their way to provide everything we needed, including recommendations. The house was fully stocked with things you might have forgotten. The horses and cats on the property were the talk of the trip amongst our young children. There are so many waterfall hikes within a short distance. Downtown highlands is a quick drive away but we could have spent the entire time here! It was that pretty!

Winter Wonderland!!
We stayed here this past weekend with our kids! We had a wonderful time! The grounds are spacious, the house Ian wet clean and comfortable, high end appliances! Best of all we had about 6 inches of snowfall this weekend! We had snowball fights and made a couple snowmen! My wife and kids enjoyed feeding and brushing the horses on the grounds too! Would highly recommend to everyone! Y’all will have a blast!

Loved this little farmhouse. It was spotless and very comfortable. Absolutely perfect family get-away complete with snow. The animals were a fun bonus for the kids. Hailey was terrific to work with. A step back in time
Everything you need and the charm of a 1800's farmhouse. It was a perfect location with privacy and peaceful surroundings, and not far from town. If you can't enjoy yourself here you can't enjoy yourself anywhere. It is was a wonderful 2 weeks!

My wife and two kids (girls 13 and 10) just finished our three night stay at this incredible place. We were so disappointed to have to leave. Loved it! Charming, spotless, comfortable, and amazing setting. The kids couldn't get enough of it, especially the creek, horses and the two cats, Miley and Otis that lived outside, and the fire pit. Very comfortable beds. Nice high end kitchen. Everything you need. Rustic in the right ways. 5-10 min drive to Cashiers. We'll be back soon. The host, Hailey, was super. Thank you much Hailey, we look forward to our return.

Wonderful Farm
We had a great stay at this farm! My daughter loved spending time interacting with the two gentle horses and both children loved watching the playful cats. The farm sits on a picturesque creek, which was a great backdrop for family pictures. Our daughter is already looking forward to coming back to visit the farm and horses again.

Charming mountain property
This updated1890 farmhouse is just what our family needed for a Labor Day weekend get-together in the mountains of NC. Set on a quiet country road, the house is about a 10-minute drive to the shops and restaurants of Glenville-Cashiers; not much further the other direction to Highlands. Clean and welcoming house, well-stocked modern kitchen, comfortable beds. The setting is on the banks of a babbling brook and adjacent pond where we saw large tadpoles swimming around. Have to say the most entertaining part was those two (outdoor) cats playing with each other on the porch, even though we aren't really cat people ourselves. You can also greet the two gentle horses over the fence of their pen. The owner was promptly responsive to our messages & also had suggestions for nearby events during the weekend. No complaints; we would gladly come again.
