Fantastic property, well appointed, great communication…family vacation easy button.
Publié le 1 déc. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe come to Cashiers every year for a week. This place was perfect! We have 4 kids from 10-15 and we all fit comfortably. Everything we needed was available…felt like we were home…even down to the griddle that made for a great pancake breakfast. Sandra is a great communicator and the check out process was the easiest I’ve experienced at a VRBO.

Great Mountain Getaway

Cozy, clean, and spacious with a fantastic living room and fireplace where we spent most of our time as a group hanging out when we weren’t checking out the local towns or hiking!

Beautiful Home and Location

Sandra was great in answering my questions and even offering up some great places to dine and drive to hike, which we did and loved the views! The home is cozy with gas log fireplace inside and wood burning fireplace out on screened in porch looking over the golf course and trees. Private, quiet and peaceful setting and the home offers everything you need for a comfortable stay. We just stayed in the master bedroom since just the two of us, but very comfortable bed and also nice shower and vanity. We loved it and was just what we needed for a romantic getaway adventure.

Mobility problems

Given that 2 of us are in our 80’s, and that we have an elderly toy poodle, the house was not appropriate for us or for any handicapped person. Entrance, which was not pictured, had 2 uneven stones and steps with no railing to navigate. There was a flight of stairs going up to the main floor. There was no safety gate we could put at the top and our poodle fell down the whole flight. There is no yard to speak of to let dog out for a quick pee. Wish I were 20 years younger, would have given house a perfect score!

Hi Mary, thanks for your kind words and I am sorry you and your pet were unable to navigate well. I do have pictures of the entrance and stairs to help those with mobility issues understand. VRBO also does a great job of verbally stating wheelchair access/details so I encourage renters to always read this section. As for dogs, I love pets and we do have areas on our street to walk pets but it’s strongly discouraged to just let them out in the mountains as I’ve seen wild animals in the area that may frighten our fur kids. Wonderful stay in Cashiers NC
Publié le 30 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis was a repeat stay for us. Property owner, Sandra, is very easy to deal with. Always prompt and accurate with her communications. Her home feels like home. Extremely well decorated, comfortable and stocked. Access to Trilium Country Club is a big plus.
