Capanna al Lago is a charming private villa with 3 double bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, located on the side of a gentle hill overlooking the Chianti region. The pleasant breeze, always present, will make your stay unforgettable. You will enjoy the shade of the trees and the breathtaking views from the private and perfectly equipped outdoor space, nestled within the well-maintained garden. The private garden surrounds the entire villa, and here you will find the outdoor hot tub (available from April to November) and the stunning swimming pool, both offering spectacular views.

The city of Siena and the Chianti region are just a 10-minute drive away.

All types of shops are only a 5-minute drive away, and the highway (towards Florence or Rome) is a 10-minute drive.

The large walls of the cabin will make you feel like you are in a cozy nest, and the silence will be the best memory of your vacation, accompanied by the magnificent views of the private garden for your exclusive use. In the morning, from the garden, you will witness the mist rising from the valleys—truly a remarkable sight from your windows.

This villa (200 sqm) is entirely made of stone and is arranged over two floors.
On the ground floor, there is a very spacious living room with a fireplace, a dining room, and a kitchen (fully equipped) with direct access to the exterior for dining (barbecue, tables, and chairs), and a WC.
On the first floor: 3 double bedrooms (each with air conditioning), 1 bathroom with a Jacuzzi bath, and 1 bathroom with a shower. Wi-Fi is available throughout the villa, which can also be rented during the winter months (central heating), allowing guests to enjoy cozy evenings by the fireplace with a book and a glass of Chianti... the perfect Tuscan atmosphere!

The swimming pool is open from May 1st to September 30th.
The hot tub is open from April 1st to October 30th (available upon request from November 1st to March 31st for a fee of €200).

Tourist tax is €4.00 per person, payable locally in cash.
The cost of heating, electricity and air conditioning is not included and will be charged based on consumption.

Beautiful Tuscan Home with a fantastic view.
We had a great stay in this home enjoying the views of the Tuscan country side. It is located close to Siena and is a perfect place to stay to make day trips to many towns and villages in Tuscany. Francesca was very attentive and helpful in explaining everything about the house and property. We would definitely stay again if ever in the area.

A truly amazing experience
We cannot be more thankful to Francesca and Best of MAS! From the moment we reserved the home to the moment we were driven back to the airport, our experience was wonderful. The communication was stellar. Best of MAS and Francesca immediately reached out to arrange our airport transfer and ask if we wanted to arrange a welcome dinner. We rented a car from Best of MAS and are so happy we did. Everything was so easy and worry-free. We would highly recommend arranging for the airport transfer back to the airport as there is no Uber in Siena and one would have to take two trains to get back to the airport, not worth the hassle. Francesca is so kind, welcoming, friendly, and professional. The home is wonderful and so spacious and peaceful. The views are spectacular. Our welcome dinner was prepared according to our dietary restrictions and it was delicious. Siena is a wonderful town full of friendly people and delicious food. Thank you again, Francesca and Best of MAS!!

An absolute gem
The property is an authentic Tuscan dream and the view is so stunning it is almost unreal. Francesca is an excellent host whose personal history with the house shines through in her attentiveness and care of her guests and their experience while visiting. 100% recommended.

Tuscany in May
We loved our stay! There were 5 adults and plenty of room for all of us. The house looks similar if not better than the photos. It’s very peaceful and relaxing. Francesca made everything very easy for us - including rides to and from the airport, and having a rental car ready to go for us at the house. The highlight for us was the cooking class that came to us. (Also arranged by Francesca) Delicious food and an amazing experience!

Amazing views from a wonderful property
We had a wonderful stay in Siena. You absolutely can't beat the views and the location! We were a short drive into the heart of Siena and were able to take day trips in all directions to other beautiful towns in Tuscany. The host was absolutely amazing. She greeted us upon check in and helped us at a moment's notice throughout our trip...even helping us make phone calls because we could not speak the language enough to do so. The property is spectacular. The views from the patio can't be beat from sunrise to sunset! The property is behind a private gate which added a nice touch of security. The house was welcoming and clean with nice amenities like a washer and dryer - we felt right at home. I have already recommended this location to many people. Highly recommend!

Wonderful!!
We had an amazing stay at this home in the Tuscan countryside. Everything you need is at your fingertips so all you have to do is sit back and enjoy the scenery. Francesca is an amazing host and quickly responded to every request and couldn’t be more helpful. The only complaint we had was that we couldn’t stay longer! We look forward to returning some day!

Magical location and people
This is a really special villa. The views over the countryside are out of this world - it's just rolling hills, vineyards and gorgeousness. It's also ideally located. 10 mins from Siena and Monteriggioni, 45 mins from San Gimignano and an hour from Florence. The interior is beautifully decorated. Not in a standard hotel way, but filled with history and interesting objects that give you a real sense of time and place. You could spend ages just admiring the decor. Bedrooms are air conditioned, which is wonderful and the kitchen is really well stocked if you like to cook. Finally, the magic ingredient is Francesca and her team. They made us feel so welcome and were unbelievably helpful. We arrived late on a Saturday and asked Francesca about supermarkets to buy breakfast stuff the next day. Before we knew it, she'd gone out and picked up a selection of things she thought we might like. I've lost count of the amount of times I texted Francesca about car parks or restaurants and she always came back with such helpful advice. We had a welcome meal and pizza night and her team were really wonderful. The villa and location are amazing, but I have to say that Francesca and her team really took it to another level. I don't know when we're coming back to Tuscany, but when we do, it'll be back here.

We loved our entire trip to Italy, but our time in Quercegrossa with Best of Mas was the highlight! Francesca has created a lovely country home to just relax and breathe in Tuscany! She helped to arrange a welcome dinner in the home our first night from busy Florence which was the one dinner we kept talking about! Absolutely beautiful home, spacious, and very comfortable! Idyllic Villa in Tuscany
If you are looking for an unforgettable experience in Tuscany, this is the villa to choose. Nestled among olive trees and vineyards and at a convenient distance from Siena, this quintessential villa was originally purchased by Francesca‘s grandfather and transformed into the house it is today with the benefit of Francesca‘s architectural skills. Cool and comfortable, the house is also elegant and distinctive. The kitchen is easy to navigate and the doors from the dining room open onto beautiful vistas, covered patios, swimming, pool, and hot tub. Francesca‘s company, Best of Mas, arranged for us to be picked up at the Rome airport. Francesco, our driver was very welcoming and went out of his way to take us to a local supermarket on the way to the Villa. Francesca also arranged for us to have a chef, Katy, cook us a welcome dinner. Katy, also a sommelier, educated us about the local food and wine. It was one of the best meals we had in Italy. During our stay, Francesca was available and responsive, and provided us with much useful information. With Francesca‘s genuine hospitality, we felt well cared for throughout our stay. We highly recommend staying in this villa.

Wonderful Tuscany Stay
We had a lovely weekend here! It was a restful, relaxing weekend during a long two week tour of Italy. They were so helpful in accommodating all of our requests. One night we had the best time - Amber came to cook us dinner - her cheery disposition equally as wonderful as her dinner she prepared. We loved every second and would love even more to be able to return!

Amazing stay in Tuscany
This property is awesome. We will definitely try to head back at some point. Our family spent three weeks overlooking the beautiful Tuscan countryside from the property’s expansive hilltop view. The villa was nice, we dreamed of living there full time. The kitchen was well equipped and we used it daily. The villa was an amazing home base for countless day trips to all of Tuscany. Siena and Monteriggioni were especially close. The backyard and pool were also awesome, perfect for our family and the hot weather we had there. The outside furniture was very cozy. We used the pool daily, and also took advantage of the very nice bbq and high end wood fired pizza oven. So fun! The owners were also fantastic. Francesco and Francesca were incredibly helpful and attentive. Francesco picked us up and dropped us off at the airport, a game-changer for us versus a previous trip. They also offered excellent recommendations for our day trips, a hit every time. They arranged the rental car, kept up with the pool, and even went above and beyond with little treats and surprises for our family here and there. Thanks so much!

Sienna Fabulous!
Four friends gathered at the perfect house to enjoy 10 days touring Tuscany, relaxing by the pool, wandering through the vineyard, cooking great meals, and making memories to last a lifetime. Two Beautiful Weeks with Family
We chose this Villa to spend 2 weeks together with our new granddaughter, daughter, and son-in-law. The Villa and property are well appointed in a location with spectacular views of the countryside. Morning coffee was had outside each day just to enjoy the panorama. The villa was decorated inside with each room having its own theme. The kitchen was well equipped for us to prepare the family meal together. The Villa is very close to Siena by car. Francesca, the property owner, made sure that all our needs were met. She promptly responded to any question we had. Francesca’s husband, Francesco, made specialty wood oven pizza for us and our extended family midway through our stay which was truly a delightful experience. We were able to watch the entire process from start to finish as the wood pizza oven was on the property. Francesca even made the Tuscan specialty “La pappa del pomodoro” (buonissimo!) for our last day at the Villa so that we would not have to worry about meal preparation while packing for our trip home. We would definitely return to the Villa on our next trip to visit our granddaughter, daughter, and son-in-law who reside in Siena. We can’t say enough about our wonderful experience at the Villa!

50th Anniversary Stay
We decided several years ago to take our family to Siena to celebrate our anniversary. We could not have found a better place to stay. Francesca’s house is located in a rural area but within four miles of everything you need. The house was clean, well appointed and very comfortable for five adults. The pictures do not quite tell how spectacular the view is. The biggest asset with this home is Francesca. She is knowledgeable and passionate about Tuscany. Francesca arranged winery tours, dinners and a cooking class for us. She had many great recommendations that we probably would not find on your own. If you would like a great house in a rural setting but close to everything this is the right place to stay.

Relaxing week
My 2 friends and I stayed in Francesca's villa for 1 week. We had an absolutely amazing time! The property is very well maintained and the view is phenomenal. Francesco (her husband) warmly greeted us and showed us all the necessary "how to's" for the property as well as left us a homemade bottle of wine. We also scheduled a private dinner and sommelier experience. Francesca's husband, Francesco, is a chef and prepared a delicious authentic Italian dinner and Francesca paired it w/ wonderful wine. She was knowledgeable about the wine and the pairing was quite nice. She surprised me with 40th birthday decorations which made for a very personal touch and was very heartwarming. Francesca was very helpful with recommendations of places to eat and drink in Siena as well as scheduling a private tour at a local winery. She also helped us with translating a ticket and offered to speak with PuntoBlu for us. (Note, if the gates are up entering/exiting the autostrada, you must stop and pull a ticket no matter what!). The overall experience was lovely and I highly recommend you stay in her villa. One thing to note is the mosquitoes are like nothing else I've ever experienced. Bring bug spray!

Paradise in the Siena Sun
This property was better than we ever expected. The villa was clean and the furniture was comfortable. Large tables accommodating our party. Beautiful upgraded kitchen. Bathrooms were perfect. Washer and dryer was a great benefit. The hot tub and pool had a. Magnificent view of the vineyards and the surrounding property. Morning coffee on the comfortable outdoor patio furniture. Francesca was the most gracious host and our accommodations were better than expected. She transported us from the airport on arrival. We had a no stress vacation thanks to her. She treated us better than family. This is my 3rd time to the Tuscany area, it has surpassed the other places a hundred fold. I would highly recommend this property. I know I will return.

Beautiful property and location.
We booked our holiday almost a year before arrival so expectations were high. We were not disappointed by our choice! This is a beautiful property in the most amazing location, right in the heart of Tuscany. We were a family of 6 (4 children). The property has plenty of space, is fully equipped, has a great pool and excellent AC in the bedrooms - necessary on hot August nights! Francesca is an excellent host, always easily contactable and extremely helpful. We had a wonderful holiday in a fantastic location and Francesca’s house is perfect!

Beautiful views of the Tuscan countryside!
My family and I just stayed in the villa for our first trip to Italy and it was simply amazing. Francesca's villa was beautiful and very comfortable for my family of 4 (we have 2 young children) Francesca went way out of her way to assist us in getting to the villa and from my first communication with her, she helped me with many questions I had. Once we were at the villa, we rented a car directly through her so we could tour around the area. It was super easy and made our stay very enjoyable!! When we departed, we met Francesca directly at the bus station and returned the car to her. Very convenient!!! The villa had a washing machine and a dryer (much needed for a family of 4 on a two week trip!!) Unfortunately, it was too cold for the pool to be opened, but we very much enjoyed the hot tub! If you are looking for a private (it is indeed a private house), comfortable villa, with an amazing hostess to help you find your way....this is the villa for you! Thank you so much Francesca for a lovely holiday!!!
