Dear Jason, You have been a kind and respectful guest of my house. As you can see, the house is more than 200 m2, it must be cleaned and disinfected to perfection at each departure to ensure perfect hygiene. In addition, there are 3 lodges, 1 swimming pool, 1 outdoor 6-seater hot tub, a wood-fired oven and a barbecue and the cleaning cost also includes the cleaning of these amenities in addition to the supply of linen and all the comforts that you found upon your arrival even if normally not all provided in a self-catering house, namely: ESPRESSO COFFEE SALT SUGAR OLIVE OIL SPICES DISH SOAP GARBAGE BAGS DISH WASHING SPONGE DISH WASHING SOAP All this is included in the cleaning costs and I assure you that it is not even a lot what I ask. As for electricity costs, I am pleased that you have given me the opportunity to talk about it: I provide an amount of electricity equal to 100 kw per week which is almost double the use of an Italian family: swimming pool, hot tub and outdoor lights are included in the price and you pay extra, over and above the 100 kw per week, only the air conditioning and consumption inside the house. There are guests who, unfortunately, do not make normal use of electricity: they leave the house in the morning and return only in the evening leaving all day the lights on and the air conditioning on with the windows open. This creates a waste that I believe, as an owner and as a human being, is right to charge extra for. However, I would like to point out that this year only 2 guests made extra use of electricity: with correct consumption of light and air conditioning, all the guests always left without consuming extra and no one ever complained about this. I would also like to point out that the final cleaning costs and the extra electricity consumption charges are clearly indicated in the offer before the booking confirmation.
