Relaxing Oceanfront Retreat w/Private Hot Tub

Beachfront oasis on the beach - boardwalk path 30 second walk to sand! Recently remodeled & and conveniently located near Monterey, Carmel & more. Soak in private hot tub while listening to the waves crash. Perfect for 2-3 families.

Split level home with raised living room for better ocean views. 2 king suites on entry level and 1 king suite on upper living room level. Additional bonus spaces (loft and bunk room) are in not included in the bedroom count. Condo sleeps 7 (includes children & infants - no exceptions)

Sleeping Options:
1) Second-floor king bedroom with vaulted ceilings and attached bath, peekaboo ocean views
2) Courtyard king bedroom with attached bath, large sliding glass doors open onto private garden courtyard
3) Oceanfront king master bedroom with sweeping views of ocean and dunes and large attached bath (walk-in double shower, double vanity), large desk & and sliding glass doors open to oceanfront deck and private hot tub
4) Bonus loft area and bunk room - allows for flexible sleeping arrangements beyond the three bedrooms, but not intended to enable hosting more than 7 people total.

Common Space: Living room with large, comfortable sectional couch, spacious oceanfront window-seat perfect for napping & whale-watching, fireplace (3 Duraflame logs provided), Samsung 50" 4K Ultra Smart flat screen smart TV (built in apps – esp. Netflix – connect via your credentials), Apple TV, DVD player (lots of available DVDs), Tivoli CD player / Bluetooth speaker / AM/FM radio, and numerous games, puzzles, and family activities. A digital TV antenna provides several basic channels - NO CABLE TV. HDMI cables provided for streaming (our solution to watching major sporting events if game isn't available via antennae.)

- Private oceanfront 4 person hot tub located on the lower deck. Professional spa maintenance crew services the spa every Tuesday and Friday.

Wonderful Stay
We've been staying at the Dunes for 15 years now for once or twice a year. Over that time, we have enjoyed some beautiful properties. This property, however, is by far the nicest and most well kept we have enjoyed. My youngest daughters 16th birthday was the event to celebrate and this home did not disappoint. Well taken care of, clean, comfortable and cozy. Perfect for my kiddo and a few of her friends. Not a single thing I would change about the "Monterey Hideaway". If you have the chance to stay here, take it. This is the gold standard for the Dunes. The host was amazing and communicated perfectly. Zero troubles and all fun. 5 stars and 100% positive. What an amazing place.

Excellent beach home
We loved this place - clean, well laid out space, with a complete kitchen and comfortable beds. big windows and two decks with beautiful views of the ocean - dunes and a perch above them to watch the show. Whales, seals, otters, dolphins, lots of seabirds. ~ 1 minute stroll to the beach. Allison was a great host - checked in on our stay; made sure the spa was tub was perfect. Coming back!

Wonderful Beach Front Property
We took a short weekend trip from Utah to California and wanted to stay at the beach near our favorite places. This home was perfect for us. Three bedrooms with King Size beds and lots of additional sleeping space. The sliding doors basically open right to the beach. We watched dolphins playing in the surf from the family room picture window. The check-in process was super easy and the hosts were right on-top of communication. We would come here again in a heartbeat.

Perfect Beach Vacation
I've been coming to Monterey Dunes since I was a child and this was one of the best homes we have stayed in. It was spacious and comfortable. The beds were fantastic. I have found that most rental home mattresses are not comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked. The outdoor patio with hot tub was a lovely spot. It also has a great courtyard with large table for dinner. Alison was always prompt with any issues that came up. We would definitely choose to stay here again.

Wonderful house, gorgeous setting
Our family of five had a wonderful stay. The house is so comfortable and well supplied. As soon as we booked, she sent us her recommendations and everything we needed to plan our trip. We ate out quite a bit in the evening then played board games and sat in the hot tub. During the day we went whale watching, kayaked with the otters, and played basketball, tennis, and pickleball. We loved the house and the setting, and communication with Alison was easy and delightful. Highly recommend.

Family Reunion
We had a very enjoyable stay at this beach house. It was perfect for our younger daughter's 40th birthday. We used to go to Monterey Dunes when our daughters were young so this was her nostalgic choice. Each bedroom had its own bathroom, which made it nice. The beach was only a one minute walk from the back deck. This made it easy for long walks along the expansive shore. The living area is plenty spacious for the amount of people allowed. The galley style kitchen took a bit to get used to but it was well equipped .

A vacation to remember.
We stayed at this VRBO for our California Adventure, which was the perfect size for three couples. King size beds with attached bathrooms for each couple was a great perk and can be hard to find. The house has a lovely beach color theme with windows galore. The kitchen has every tool, utensil, glassware and appliances you would ever need nicely tucked away in the cabinets. Comfortable main room with fireplace for us all to hang out together with DVDs, music, games and throw blankets made it feel homey. It is an easy, short, boardwalk trip to the beach which is just over a single dune. View from the house is the dune and then beautiful water, you don't see the beach, even though it is so close, which is nice as you don't see other guests on the beach. From the beach, you don't see the colony looking towards the home, so it feels like you are in your own private sanctuary with no other visitors. Our host Alison was superb and courteous in responding to messages. Alison provided loads of details about the home and suggestions for food and activities in the area. This was the perfect location for our friend's getaway.

Beautiful spot for a winter stay
Our family had a great weekend at this beautiful home right on the beach - a VRBO listing that holds up to the pics, description and stellar reviews! Thanks to Alison for being so responsive when the power went out overnight due to a huge winter storm. We were able to pick up hot coffee and delicious breakfast offerings from the Power Plant Coffee & Store a short drive away, and crews got the power back on by 10 am, and the home's excellent heating system had it warmed back up quickly. It rained most of our trip, but we stayed busy cooking in the well-stocked kitchen (we brought in all our groceries in big coolers for the weekend), playing board games in front of the fireplace, and watching the storm rage out in the ocean from the huge picture windows. Would love to return in the summertime to enjoy a different season in this lovely home. Thanks again!

Perfect Stay at the Beach
We thoroughly enjoyed a memorable birthday weekend with friends at Alison's condo in Monterey Dunes Colony. It was a perfect location---steps from the beach and within easy driving distance of Carmel. The accommodations were perfect for 3 couples and the condo itself was comfortable and inviting. Car Show Weekend
I was joined by 3 friends and we used Monterey Dunes as a base for attending events around the Pebble Beach car show and auction. It is right on the water with beautiful views and the sound of the ocean. The set-up and space worked perfectly. The house is exceptionally well stocked with everything you need.
