The sweetest hosts!
Posted Sep. 11, 2024 on HotelsWe stayed here for three nights and it was fantastic. The hosts were so helpful. Even though their English was as good as our Italian they answered every question and WhatsApp and were there whenever we needed them including arriving really late. It couldn't be in a better location on the main street of Catania. The price is great value. It's not five star luxury. But it was five star service. It's really subtle to find on the street a small sign next to a big green door. I can't fault our stay here. Bruno and Daniella were the best. Would happily stay here again.

Fantastic hotel
Posted Oct. 21, 2022 on HotelsWe loved this hotel!
Right on the main street of Catania, within walking distance of the sights. The room was huge with everything we needed, and breakfast was provided in a cafe a few minutes walk away.
The people in the hotel were helpful and friendly. Our flight didn’t arrive until early hours of the morning, we called ahead and the guy was waiting for us.
Would highly recommend this hotel!

We used this property for an event we hosted - lots of back and forth with the owner with some concern about the security of our reservation. In the end it worked out...it’s in a good location (Main Street Catania) and is clean and livable.

Felt at home

Pros: The friendliness and attention of the manager and the house-keeper.
Cons: See above
Location: Very well located, with good public transport services right outside the door. The bus from the airport stops outside the front door!
Albatro Rooms is efficiently run by Antonio, the manager, and Daniela, the house-keeper. Don’t be put off by the outside gate; beyond the entrance door, Albatro Rooms offers comfortable, spacious and clean rooms, and above all a very friendly atmosphere which made me feel at home. Despite their humble rating (2 stars), my room had air-con, television and a fridge and a lovely balcony overlooking via Etnea. There’s also a vending machine that sells amazing café machiato for only €0,50. If they manage to solve the internet problem (it drops far too often) and the fact that breakfast is served at a very unfriendly café (MrLino) near their premises, I can’t see why they could not become a 3* B&B.

Very helpful and friendly owner of b&b
Posted Nov. 17, 2015 on HotelsThe most important thing about this bed and breakfast was that is was really central in the middle of shops and restaurants etc... The owner was so helpful. He helped us with the luggage and the shopping every day. He showed us where to go and even came with us to show us where it is safe to park. I felt very safe.
