Amazing property in Caye Caulker
Publié le 15 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe loved our stay at the Dreaded Grape cabana. The photos don't do justice to the size of the property in a lovely courtyard with an honesty bar full of cold beers. It's steps away from a quiet beach and easy walking distance to the centre of Caye Caulker. Excellent air conditioning and the cabana was well equipped with coffee. The bed was very comfortable and we loved sitting out on the terrace for breakfast. Ben was a great host and gave us excellent tips to help us make the most of our stay. Highly recommended.

Absolute Paradise!

Our little home was magical, so very peaceful, comforting and authentic.
We felt safe and cared for . . .
The compound boasts an outdoor tiki bar, lovely new friends to meet, an art gallery, two adorable pups, bicycles for your use, a beachfront around the bend, reliable WiFi and a location that can't be beat!
We walked or rode our bikes everywhere.
The hosts are there if needed and our 'place in the sun' offered a comfortable bed, warm water to shower and cooling temps when needed from the A/C and fan.
Down the street is a church and local school; the sounds of an island life were just down the way.
You will be very, very fortunate to spend time here at Gumbo Limbo, simply the very best in island living!
Can't wait to return.

40th Birthday Getaway
Publié le 27 janv. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe Gumbo Limbo property is situated in a perfect quiet part of the island steps from the beach at the anchorage beach dock. The converted wine bar is a quirky and cute cabana perfect for a couples getaway. Everything was clean and the property manager Flor was super attentive to our needs. The free use of the bikes made getting around the island easy. Air conditioning and fans worked perfectly and WiFi was great for making calls and streaming at night. Cannot wait to come back again to Caye Caulker and hope it won’t be as long to make it back as the last time. Ben/Aria were extremely responsive to our messages especially when dealing with a delayed arrival.

Ben was such a great host and we felt so comfortable. The bungalow is relaxing, clean, and quiet. The bed is soft and cozy. The bikes were a major plus, as this was our preferred mode of transport. Thanks you for a great stay hope to be back again.

Wonderful little cabana!
Publié le 7 janv. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe loved the history of the former wine bar and Ben was super helpful recommending dinner places. Our stay was short, so we didn't get to enjoy the bikes. The indoor "clothesline" was awesome since we had just returned from a 5 hour snorkel tour and had lots of wet things to dry out. It was so convenient to walk around the corner and enjoy a beautiful sunrise on the beach. Ben helped us get a golf cart taxi since we were having phone issues. Would have loved to enjoy this peaceful property - and the friendly dogs - a few more days.

It had a great location, was very clean, and Ben and Aria were very friendly and helpful any time we had questions. I would highly recommend to book with them!
