Clean, comfortable room. Great for biking. Also only a hour from either Columbus, Cincinnati or Dayton. Owners were very pleasant and allowed us to bring our bikes in the room at night.

Thank you, Mary, for your very nice review! For cyclists planning an Ohio-to-Erie Trail bike adventure, we are about as close to the trail as possible - just get off the trail and walk in! Thanks, Rob, for your very kind review! As an independent country inn hotel, we purposefully designed our property to reflect American heritage and history reflective of the late 19th century. My son, Jonathan, is actually the professional photographer whose work adorns our walls, as well as seen at the Gallery in Lake Placid, NY! Our historic displays present the periods from the American Civil War through the early 20th century. The centerpiece of our design are the hand-crafted, solid red oak barn beams in our breakfast area, cut in 1885. More information can be found at our official website. It was very homey and clean.
The room was a bit damp but not uncomfortable.

Property is okay but the decor hasn’t changed since the early 1990s. Room smelled musty. Pillows were so flat as to be almost nonexistent. We left a day early without pushing to get a refund on the 2nd night just to get out of there.

Hi Loralyn! We appreciate your review, which is quite different from the overwhelming majority. It allows us to monitor our services with finer detail. A quick note on our decor - we were constructed in 2001 and, unlike the "franchise brands", our country inn is designed to emulate the late 19th century. We incorporate tech as needed, but the "decor" will remain reflective of history. Custom wallpaper, trim, and lobby barn beams. If there is something of note that you may be referring to, please do let us know! Regarding pillows, we provide firmer pillows in each guest room, located in the TV armoir. Any additional pillows can easily be provided by calling our Front Desk staff. As to any "musty" smell, we are sorry that you experienced this. A quick mention to our staff and we could have quickly moved you to a different room and subsequently investigated and remedied the source of "mustiness". We wish you safe travels in the future!

If you can, stay here!!
Publié le 22 juin 2024 sur HotelsThis place was amazing 😍 would stay here again and for longer. The service was so friendly and kind, bed was super comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and oh my the coffee was so good. I bought a bag in the gift shop for home. Over all quiet peaceful and just felt good to be there.
