I love staying here for work. Staff is always friendly. The room is always clean. This last time there was a guy yelling in his room late at night, but that is not the hotels fault and it is usually very quiet which is rare for hotels.

I had hoped for a more historic ambiance. While the lobby and bar area were charming, our room was quite small with what appeared to be a full-sized bed and modern wood linoleum flooring—I was expecting classic wooden floors. Additionally, our window faced directly into another room, so we had to keep it closed for privacy. Overall, it didn’t meet my expectations.

We're sorry you were hoping for a more historic-looking room. You are absolutely right. Our rooms have been fully updated. Over the years, as indoor plumbing was installed in each room, 100 rooms were consolidated to 28 to create larger rooms that could accommodate more than a twin bed and a nightstand, and normal wear-and-tear occurred, our rooms did loose most of their original finishes--including the flooring. We're glad you enjoyed the historic look of the lobby. If you would like a larger, square-facing room instead of a studio, courtyard-facing room on your next visit, please reach out to us directly to make your reservation!
