Very quiet and peaceful relaxing stay…
It was very clean and I felt very relaxed and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable and I sleep like a baby 😊 I will definitely come back to stay again

A disappointing 2nd visit
Publié le 5 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe outside of the property is lovely! Cottage interior needs updating. Back screen door broken, pull out sofa bed broken and non-functional, kitchen needs updating.
Additionally, there was a miscommunication on their end which was handled poorly by the owner and caretaker.
Very disappointed and won’t be staying here again.

Sorry you feel this way. Was not aware of pull out couch not working. And as I told you at check-in, the washer and dryer in our private garage were not accessible nor is it advertised as available. We find our cottage charming and quaint and kitchen may be older but quite functional.

Nice vacation
Publié le 10 août 2024 sur HomeAwayI spent a week here with my two sons, sister, and dog. The house had everything we needed. The boys and dog loved the canoe. We had fun relaxing on the patio and swimming. The landscaping and setting was beautiful and the sound of the creek was very relaxing.

Green Cottage

Classic cottage
Publié le 30 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayMy partner, myself, and our 2 Frienchies stayed at the cottage the 3rd week of June 2024. We loved it!!! The weather was a bit mixed, and the lake was chilly. Beach is nice sloping sand and the grassy side yard was perfect for our dogs. The beds comfortable and listening to the creek as we were sleeping was soothing. The only wish list we had was not being able to dock a boat overnight. The cottage only has a mooring buoy. This end of Torch Lake is peaceful and quiet and about a 30 minute boat ride to the sandbar. We absolutely enjoyed ourselves and are hoping to book again next year.

Getaway

Cabin had well water, which is fine and expected, except that it was rusty when you took the shower you smelled like rust had to buy bottled water to make tea and coffee. The screens were inefficient and let bugs in the house. Food in cabinets expired. Furnace sounded like a jet engine. Ceiling near the furnace had water damage and was painted over smelled like mold. Would have loved a lighter and fire starter for outside campfire.
Overall outside deck and dock water access was wonderful. Friendly neighbors. Quiet and beautiful sunsets. Outside area well maintained. A few
interior updates would make it perfect.

Escaping the Florida heat
Publié le 23 août 2023 sur HomeAwayVery clean property on great lot, beautiful lake with big deck for lakeside relaxing. This is a typical northern Michigan cottage and close to grocery stores and farmers markets. Hoping to rent again.
