Wonderful location, wonderful house, fabulous stay
Publié le 22 juill. 2023 sur HomeAwayThe property was well presented, as described. Plenty of equipment for cooling and catering. The house was very private, comfortable, secluded and peaceful. Just what we hoped for. 10-15 mins drive to Olonzac where we could get everything we needed; local people friendly, helpful and kind. Would have non hesitation returning - one day, hopefully.

Lovely house - maybe not the best location in a heat wave
Publié le 9 août 2022 sur HomeAwayThe house was very well furnished, with plenty of space for our family. The bedrooms were very comfortable. The kitchen was extremely well equipped. The shuttered windows helped to keep the house cool. Access to the garage was good too, as it kept the car cool. Overall the heat was a problem: because it was so hot and dry, we had a problem with large numbers of wasps coming to the pool to drink , and we weren’t able to get rid of them even though the communication with the Dutch management company was good, and even though the pool guy came and offered sympathy. The area is beautiful, and I would like to visit again but maybe in May or September. The house was very clean. Olonzac was only a 13 minute drive away and it has an excellent Tuesday market and Boulangerie. Walking around the gorges at Minerve is beautiful.

Dear Joseph, we thank you for your feedback and we are sorry, very sorry, that you were bothered by wasps. We did everything we could, but they were still there. We are not going to leave it at that and are continuing to look for a solution. There are currently many wasps everywhere due to the heat and drought. They come to drink in the swimming pools.
I am glad you liked the house and the region too. As for the heat: this autumn we are going to see if we are going to install air conditioning for the 2023 season.
You are welcome to come back in the autumn or spring: we like to offer you lunch in one of our favorite restaurants or a winetasting in a chateau we know well.
