The Inn at 257 is located in the beautiful Elliotborough neighborhood. You will be FOUR short blocks from King Street. We recommend you leave your car parked in our lot and enjoy the city on foot, bicycle, or the ever convenient Uber and Lyft.

Fairly well located for Hampton Park wedding and King St. activities. I felt the room was small and may not have been the location I saw on the Vrbo listing when making the reservation. Overall through it worked for us. When doing this again, I would have sorted the room size.

Amazing stay!
My fiance and I absolutely loved staying here. It is a 20-30 minute walk to downtown, very clean and cozy space, perfect for the two of us. The heated pool was an amazing bonus! The host is extremely responsive and was kind enough to let us check in early (which the process was super easy) and even check out late with bag storage since we have a late flight back home. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and absolutely love Charleston! :)

Beautiful room in a perfect location
The room was perfect for a two-day trip! Extremely clean with all of the essentials and some personal touches (and wonderful AC). A small pool was recently installed which was a big perk and felt amazing after a long day of walking. The location couldn’t be better - it’s a 20-30 minute walk down to King Street with lots of restaurants and shops along the way to stop and browse. We loved our stay here!

small then we thought. Bathroom shower set up alittleodd, had to be careful with footing. Courtney was very nice. Helped recommend several restaurants to us. Did'nt like that we had to drive everywhere we went. Charleston very pricey for parking, no where we went was free parking.Overall ok stay. We wish Courtney the best with her properties!

Very pleasant stay
The amenities were fantastic especially being a smaller room. We wanted for nothing and the neighborhood was alive with people and felt very safe walking at night to local Restaurants. A return to this place is in our stars!

When we arrived it was raining very hard. We could not get into the room because there was 6 inches of water at the foot of the stairs and the rain was coming off the roof in a waterfall. We were forced to find another place to stay.

The location makes it walkable to downtown Charleston and close by restaurants but far enough out of the crowded areas and traffic. Our host Courtney was there to greet us and available for whatever came up during our stay. She has done a lot to make a small space comfy and attractive with lots of attention to detail. Our visit was a wonderful experience! The suite was clean and had all the amenities that we needed. The location was AWESOME! We were able to walk around the city to explore without having to drive to find public parking. The owner was great to work with and communicated efficiently. From the offstreet parking to everything you need for short stay this property has it, but the best part is the owner quick to respond, to any questions you will have. Construction was a let down
Pros: Location was great, walkable to everything downtown. Quick response when communicating with host. She helped with check-in and making sure we felt safe during our stay. She also allowed a late check-out, which was much appreciated! It was a Clean room. Nice AC which was wonderful for the Charleston heat. Cons: We were woken up at 730 AM on our first morning by the sounds of nail guns, air compressors and table saws from the construction happening to their house and addition of a pool. Which continued on for most of the morning. We communicated this with the host who apologized and said she would ask them to start later the following morning. Unfortunately, no change the following two mornings. We weren’t able to sleep in and it’s just not a relaxing/peaceful atmosphere with hours on hours of table saws, hammering, and nail guns going. Very disappointing as we were on vacation. Bed is very soft, too soft for our liking. With the price point for the stay, there really shouldn’t be any construction beginning before 9 AM. Communication about the construction including noise levels and start time would have been appreciated prior to our stay.

We liked the location of the property which suited our visit purposes. The room had extra amenities which we usually do not get in other VRBOs (water/bottle of wine/plates, etc.). The bed was extremely comfortable. Loved that mattress! The only downside to the room was the bathroom. Unfortunately, the water did not drain well in the shower, and the stone floor is very slippery. Would highly recommend checking into that for safety issues. Great area for walking, restaurants, and shopping off King Street. Glad to see this neighborhood revitalized after so many years of deterioration.
