Historic Carriage House located South Of Broad. Charming and Private.

This is a separate guest house with full amenities, located in the heart of Charleston's South of Broad neighborhood. We are fully licensed by the city and are just a few blocks away from King Street, the Battery at White Point Gardens, the Waterfront Park, and numerous other famous Charleston sites, restaurants, and green spaces.

The guest house has one bedroom with a queen-sized bed, full modern bath and a full kitchen. The charming upstairs sitting room with two daybeds and another TV has a view of Charleston rooftops This has become one of our guests favorite place to relax after a day of touring the city. Amenities also include a washer and dryer, as well as off-street parking. The private entrance to the guest house opens up to our sunny and spacious back yard. Our family has two friendly dogs you might see during your stay.

Wonderful hosts and great location
The location is excellent in a quiet and lovely neighborhood to walk and bike. The hosts George and Therese are knowledgeable and very helpful. We enjoyed our time staying at their place.

Great stay in Charleston
My parents stayed here and had a great time. They had a real Charleston experience in a neighborhood near king. It is a little walk but the space was perfect with a clean and updated bathroom, laundry, kitchen, and living area. They felt safe and would stay here again.

Location and Comfort
First off, the location of this place is excellent. Close to downtown, but quiet. I walked everywhere. There is a nice little grocery store a few blocks away that I utilized, and the prices were not too bad, and the selection was pretty impressive for the size of the store. Everything in the house worked well. It was hot outside but cool inside. Good shower pressure. Bed was comfy and it was nice to go upstairs and chill out at the end of the day. Dog and cat were friendly and allowed lots of pets. I'd stay here again if I was ever to visit Charleston again.

Thoughtful hosts
Arriving in a downpour, George showed up at our car with two umbrellas. Both he and Therese offered help whenever they could during our stay in their quaint carriage house. We didn't cook but the kitchen was well equipped -- the bottle of wine and snacks were nice touches. A thermal lunch box and the washer and dryer came in handy during our exploration of Charleston and the nearby beaches and birding sites. (Therese is half of Two Sisters' Tours)

Absolutely Charming
Top to bottom it was perfect! All the spaces I needed for some time away to be refreshed: loved reading in the sitting room, used the well appointed kitchen, comfortable bedroom, and enjoy the lovely yard and sweet pets all in the heart of charming residential historical Charleston. This carriage house is attached to the proprietor's property and includes off street parking. The space is nicely appointed with a kitchen and upstairs living room. The property is located a short walk from Charleston's sites and restaurants. Therese and George were very friendly and checked to make sure we were satisfied with our stay. This is a beautiful 1 bedroom guest house that was full of Charleston charm! Off street parking in a gated driveway was provided as was a delicious bottle of wine. This is a great location within a reasonable walking distance to several fantastic restaurants. Therese and George were responsive and just genuinely nice hosts. We will definitely visit them again! This beautiful carriage house is the perfect spot to explore Charleston. Therese and George were gracious hosts and the small house was perfect! We even had an upstairs sitting room for relaxing. Perfect Getaway!
We absolutely loved our stay in this beautiful carriage house! Our best visit to Charleston ever! The home was perfect for us: roomy, beautiful, cozy, quiet, well stocked, private, and so very comfortable. We felt quite at home there especially because the gracious owners made us feel so welcomed and were very accessible and responsive prior to the trip and while there. We were lucky enough to actually book a walking tour with Therese, and it also was fabulous! We highly recommend the tour and taking her suggestions for where to explore more on your own. The location of this home is perfect for sightseeing, shopping and restaurants. We parked our car when we arrived and walked everywhere the whole time. A tip we learned from other Charleston visits is make restaurant reservations WELL in advance as they are quite busy there. Thank goodness the internet has made that process so easy now.
