We had no heat in our room. Called down and front desk said would send maintenance. No one ever came. Front desk was not at all concerned. Lobby was decorated beautifully and we had high expectations. Main restaurant was closed.

The property is in the middle of a total remodeling. Only the first two floors available. Worker's syart banging around at 7.00am. Our bedding was old and should've been replaced a year ago. Some rate discount should've been given for the inconvenience

The desk clerk was more interested in her phone instead of waiting on us. She was curt and we felt like we were an intrusion. There was only one place in the casino to eat. We go through WV several times a year. We will not be staying at this hotel again.

2nd time staying here. Was not aware by booking through Expedia that there were renovations underway. I appreciate the complex keeping the property up to date and investing to stay current, but construction dumpster was emptied at 5 am (think backup beeps right outside our window) and crew started way earlier than 8 am and that’s when the noise began. Our room was generally clean and comfortable, but the carpet was showing heavy foot traffic and the ottoman was heavily stained. Bedding and towels were clean and comfortable. Disappointed that the French Quarter restaurant was not open on a Monday but we didn’t not look that up ahead of time. Staff was just average at check in and in the casino. Despite the 3 star rating, we’ll stay here again as the location and room rates work for us.
