Private, stand alone cabin nestled in the wood's. Perfect for a family with children or four adults. Quiet, paved country road. Five minutes to Lake Michigan, Lake Charlevoix, downtown Charlevoix and Castle Farms. VRBO “ Neighborhood description” states We are on a lake, just to be clear, we are across the street from a small fishing lake and 5 to 10 minutes from Lake Charlevoix and Lake Michigan. ☺️
Take your family to the Mt. McSauba recreational area for a day hike through the dunes to Lake Michigan or relax on one of our beautiful beaches. Stroll through downtown Charlevoix while enjoying a local treat from an ice cream shop. There are many casual or fine dining restaurants within the downtown area. Enjoy the views of the harbor from a bench in the park.
The cabin is on a popular biking route. Bring your bikes! Hiking trails are close by as well as many nature preserves. A walk out the back door you will find a Maple Woods with an outdoor fire pit and grill. An indoor gas fireplace adds warmth to living space. Petoskey, Boyne and Harbor Springs are 30 minutes. Traverse City and Mackinaw are less than an hour away. Wildlife is abundant on the property. We do not allow pets or smoking on the property. We were attending a wedding at the Castle and this adorable, cozy cabin was super close. What we didn't expect was how absolutely immaculate, comfortable, well stocked and beautifully decorated this place is! It may be the cleanest, newest feeling VRBO we have ever stayed in! This cabin was super cute and the perfect spot for us newlyweds to unwind after our wedding at Castle Farms. Lilly was an amazing host and worked with me to get an early checkin so that me and my groomsman could get ready for the big day.

Perfect for us!
The Shed was a great place for our family to stay. It was clean and very well-stocked. The location was very quaint and private. We loved to hang out around the house after an outing to the beach to downtown. Our family especially loved the porch- a good place to hang out to read and unwind. We had good interactions with the owners and felt very taken care of. We definitely recommend The Shed!

The property is amazing. It was perfectly located. 5 minutes to Downtown Charlevoix. 5 minutes to Lake Charlevoix. We spent a lot of time by the fire pit. Bedrooms and bathrooms were perfect sized. Beds were comfortable.

We loved our stay. The house is very clean. The bed was comfortable and the shower is extra large with plenty of hot water. The front yard is large and very pretty with numerous beautiful flowers. We spent a lot of time in Boyne, and it was easy to drive to via road and even quicker by ferry. The host provided a much appreciated welcome gift as well. Thank you for providing us a nice place to get away to.

Awesome house!
We stayed in The Shed for 2 nights and it was fantastic! My fiancé and I got married in Charlevoix and it was a perfect 2 night getaway for us for the remainder of our weekend. The house was clean, appliances were brand new, and locationally you are right down the road from Castle Farms, plus an easy drive into downtown Charlevoix. Lilly (the host) was extremely responsive and wonderful to work with. If the opportunity presents itself, we would 100% stay here again!

Delightful and Relaxing
The owner was friendly, quick to respond, and very sweet to talk to. My entire family enjoyed their stay, and the kids loved the swings! My mom who is 80 , loved the peace and quiet, yet it wasn’t too far from town. It was an excellent place to stay and very clean!

This place is beautiful, and the listing is accurate. It was very clean. Check-in was simple and instructions for the stay were inside. Very short drive to Castle Farms. Not a long drive to get into Charlevoix.

Thank you for a great stay. The “Shed” is cozy. Perfect size for 4 adults. If you don’t need a lot of space this is perfect. We could have used internet, but got by on cellular data. We were so close to the two wedding venue - Charlevoix yacht club & Castle Farms. Wish we had time to enjoy a bonfire or a nice hike. The Shed was very clean and had all the supplies we needed. Would 100% recommend.

My family's stay was amazing. We attended our nieces wedding at the Castle, and it ended up being the perfect location. It was peaceful and close to everything we needed. The home was so clean and new. It still smells like cedar as you walk through the door. I highly recommend this VRBO to everyone heading to Charlevoix. We will definitely stay here again.

Conveniently located about 10 min outside of downtown Charlevoix, 15 min from an absolutely spectacular beach (Mt. Mcsauba), 10 min from Loeb Bay (and the outstanding family friendly Landing Restaurant). Property is beautiful, spacious, and just the right amount of "your own patch of paradise". Loft worked great for our "kids" (er, young adults) and beds were very comfy. Great firepit for s'more making. A day trip to Mackinaw Island (return through Tunnel of Trees and Legs Inn) is very doable and should be done...and then you will feel even better about your decision to stay here!
