Upon waking on the morning of our stay we found cockroaches by the refrigerator. I contacted Gracie at the front office to inform her and request a refund. She agreed that a refund was appropriate but she had to get approval. She promised to call me back by noon but didn't. I called her and she told me the owners were not available and that they would call me by tomorrow. I am very upset and disappointed at the lack of response. I am requesting a full refund.

Thank you for your review. We have never had a complaint like this nor have we since. I did have someone come out and look and they did not find anything. We live in Northern Michigan and do not really have those bugs. I did take care of this customer but I can confirm we do not have a bug problem. We strive to keep our rooms clean and comfortable for our guests while providing excellent customer service.

It was nice for the price. Definitely older and a bit run down but the rooms were clean and the staff was very accommodating.

It's definitely a vintage Motel but it's clean it's close to downtown and it's comfortable

Rooms need updating. Clean. Smelled strongly of pot. Beds need replacing .

Unfortunately some guests fail to comply and if your room had a smell we apologize for that. If we had a different room available we would have been happy to offer you that. We have replaced several mattresses throughout the Motel and continue to upgrade when possible. Hope you enjoyed your time in Charlevoix
