Our stay at Pawpaw's Place

Anniversary

Everything was very organized, clean and there for our using, but we just chose to sit, fish and enjoy nature!!! We will be back!!! Thanks for being so prompt and a GREAT host!!!

Close to Caney Lake
Publié le 19 mai 2024 sur HomeAwayWe had a high school bass tournament at Jimmie Davis State Park. But as usual, all the cabins at JDSP were booked. This gem of a place, PawPaw’s Place, was better than imagined. We were a family of four sharing with another family of three and it worked out perfectly. It was close to the tournament and places to eat. The owner, Dawn Scott, gave us all of the information before the trip, and then again the day we were traveling. She gave things to do, places to go and eat and everything you need to have a pleasant stay. The house is completely updated. The private dock and 2.5 acre stocked pond are also very nice amenities. I hope I have time to kayak out on the pond next time I go.

Peaceful, Outdoor Getaway

She always goes above and beyond to communicate and make sure everything is perfect for your stay. The house is clean, comfortable, and stocked with everything you need. The property and lake are amazing. We spent most of our time outside fishing and just enjoying nature. I highly recommend booking this property with Ms. Dawn. We hope to come back again in the future!

Living the dream.

What a beautiful place…Pawpaw’s place! This spot is well taken care of. You can feel the love from the inside out. The house is spacious and very well stocked. If you forgot it, Dawn has already thought about it. Being outside and enjoying the fire pit was our favorite part. Beautiful clean pond. I can’t say enough about this property. If you are ready to relax, come and enjoy!!!
