Overpriced room at a house... Not a B&B
Publié le 30 sept. 2015 sur HotelsWhen we went into the B&B, and the owner was having a birthday party with his friends and they were very loud. There was also a bad smell with the food these people were eating. This was basically a room at the owners house. There is no TV in the rooms either. The view was great, and the owner very kind, but very talkative. The breakfast was rather slim. I would not pay this kind of money to not have a place that was quiet.

Sorry these guests did not enjoy their stay here. We ( the neighbors) had a birthday party for one of us who is a cancer survivor and some may have been a bit exuberant but they were not excessively loud and the party was over by 8:30 PM. The food did not smell bad (brats and beans with salad?). Most B&B's don't have TV's in every room. There is a 42" TV available to all guests in the lounge, specifically for the guests' use. The breakfasts are always complete full breakfasts, eggs, potatoes, sausage, fresh fruit, juice, toast, rolls or waffles, and coffee or tea. What more would you want? I will not take issue with what the guest said is "very talkative" but I treat all guests with the same friendly and respectful demeanor I would expect from a host. B&B's are by their very definition private homes. These guests should have stayed at a hotel.

Gorgeous Bed & Breakfast!
Publié le 27 août 2015 sur HotelsThis Bed & Breakfast is tucked away in beautiful Northern Michigan, but is less than 20 minutes from town. Beautiful home, very clean, and the owner (who lives on the property) was very friendly and accommodating to us! The home is directly on the shores of Lake Huron and the views are spectacular!! There is a little lighthouse connected to the home and you can climb to the top via a staircase and enjoy the view for miles around. You can even see to Mackinac Island!! Definitely a "must visit" again place for us!!

Very clean and comfortable house.
Publié le 3 août 2015 sur Expedia
Pour : Everything in the house with clean and meticulously detailed. At night, the water view rooms are close to the lake shore so you hear the water rush.
Contre : The GPS sends the guest west of Cheboygan, instead of east, so there could be a warning in the website description directing everyone to go east!
Emplacement : The owner can direct you to local restaurants and shopping in Cheboygan plus there a several brochures available explaining other events close by.
The host/owner was very gracious and helpful. He accommodated our requests for breakfast, more towels, etc. We made a day trip (drove about an hour) each day to Mackinac bridge to ride the ferry through the locks, then another day trip to Mackinac Island to visit the shops and take the carriage ride. There were several ways to relax at the house: gaze thru the telescope at the lighthouse that is miles away, or take a short walk along the lake, or sit either upstairs or down to read or chat or watch a little TV. The owner was knowledgeable in many areas, and that made for lively and entertaining discussions.

Don and Glenna,
Thanks for the review. In regard to the GPS, Microsoft Bing Maps has me mislocated. I have contacted MS at least a dozen times and gotten the standard response "we'll look into it" but no corrective action ever taken. Sorry for the inconvenience.

A True Getaway
Publié le 6 juill. 2015 sur ExpediaVery nice B&B-style accommodations. You have your own bathroom, with TVs, fridge, microwave in common areas. Only 4 guest rooms so not a lot of neighbors. The house is newer, solid, and quiet - We did not hear anyone when inside our room. House is fairly isolated - miles from the nearest town on several acres of property, and lots of smoothed rock shoreline. Cell service is spotty at best, but satellite wi-fi is available. A small working lighthouse and bug-free gazebo are at either end of the house. The owner Bob is a great guy with lots of good stories.

Unique
Publié le 3 sept. 2014 sur HotelsMy wife and I stayed at Ninemile Point B&B the evening before walking the Mackinaw Bridge with the Governor's party. It is off US-23 through a little woods for a pleasant sense of separation from neighbors. Our room had a beautiful view of Lake Huron, as did the common rooms, dining room, and sitting room. The inn was built by the proprietor himself, Bob Ward, and has been in operation just about a year. Besides the wrap-around porch and gazebo, there was a three story lighthouse. Bob was very accommodating, serving breakfast at 11am after we returned from the bridge walk. I wish we had had more time to spend there as it was a very relaxing setting.
