Out of the way gem

They had enough English to help me, they even arranged a cab for me when I needed to leave. Very clean and comfortable. It was worth it to me to go out of the way to get there (it is not close to major transit hubs).

Awful experience!!! My husband and I checked in at DoubleTree by Hilton Chengdu - Longquanyi on 9 June. While we were using the lift from 21th floor to Ground floor lobby at night, suddenly the lift(p1) dropped to 14th floor, then dropped to 13th floor again and stopped there. We were stuck in the lift for roughly around 40 minutes. During the period of stuck inside the lift, we both felt unwell and we fearful of our lives, experiencing incomparable pain. For a hotel ( DoubleTree by Hilton Chengdu Longquanyi) which labels itself with high standards, the emergency assistance in this instance was extremely disappointing and shocking with how delayed the action was. I hope my horrible experience will not happen to others in the future.

I stayed for three days, but they didn't changed my bathrobe. I was a little shocked. And I was really really shocked that there were few staffs who could speak, listen and understand English. Most of the staff could only speak Chinese. There was a market near the hotel, so it was good to buy fresh fruits cheaply, but there weren't many restaurants. The Hot pot restaurant on the 2nd floor near hotel was delicious. But they can't speak english at all... also closing time is too early. If you order room service, I would recommend Chinese food. The chengdu dumplings were so good. not spicy, there's chicken inside. ah, this hotel has to pay the deposit. 1,000CNY.

I travel southeast Asia often. We prepaid a two day stay at this hotel. Our plane coming from Vietnam had Mechanical problems and it was returned back to Vietnam. This caused us to be late. We did not arrive at the hotel until 8 am. Because we were late, we were told our reservation was cancelled. This was prepaid and guaranteed. With a long delayed flight and two kids, not having a reservation that was prepaid and guaranteed was not good. The hotel itself was very nice and the staff were friendly.

Wonderful service and excellent hotel overall. Paul Liu made sure our family of 5, with 3 kids (7, 9 and 11), was treated like VIPs while we stayed in our spacious, comfortable and modern two bedroom suite. The staff is very attentive and the restaurants are delicious. We tried their Japanese restaurant the first night and it was a good change of pace from daily Chinese food on a long China journey. Their Hot Pot Restaurant was excellent and offered lots of unique local dishes to try. Breakfast Buffet is a must with western and Chinese dishes aplenty. Overall I highly recommend the hotel. Thank you staff and again Paul went above and beyond for us to have a pleasant experience.

This hotel is beautiful and the customer service is above and beyond! The breakfast is amazing and the guestrooms are so comfortable and have everything you need and more. This was one of the hotels on our 30 day Asia trip that we enjoyed the most!

Great stay

Very happy with my stay at this hotel and will be returning again when I am in the area. Talking to the General Manager, Philippe’s Arghirides, at the end of my stay I learned they had apartments for guests that stay longer and want an at-home environment.
