The wash cloths and towels smelled like grease. They were more like rags they were so thin. The shower curtain had seen better days. There was barely any water pressure in the shower and it never got hot.

Didn't have handi capp rooms , the shampoo was dail hand soap put into the empty bottles.

First room they gave me was a mess it hadn't been cleaned but they gave me another room and it was ok

Enjoyed My Stay
Posted Oct. 2, 2023 on HotelsReally enjoyed our stay at American Inn Chesapeake- Portsmouth Virginia. I recommend this hotel for anyone that is traveling and needs a place to stay. The hotel was quite at night so you can sleep. Stay there if you get a chance but bring your own coffee if you are a coffee drinker like my husband

The staff was very nice and friendly (the female staff and elderly man who was part of the cleanning staff), there was however a middlenage gentleman that waas not always in the greatest of moods and did not ever honor anyknind of discount price regaedless how many nights we stayed. The way the housing situation is right now you would think discounted rates would be honored a little better. Overall the numerous times we stayed i was pleased.
