Great location. Close to dining options and attractions. We had an early flight in and was able to get early check in. The staff opened up the free breakfast early for the chicago marathoners. Overall was a great stay and will stay here again.

Room had strange odour on arrival with poor air circulation. However, we were able to turn on the AC & fan which made a huge difference. Room was ok, with 2 double beds and a desk, nice small fridge. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom needs a proper clean as there was visible grime on the towel holder. The positive: amazing location, the river is a block away, and there are many options for restaurants nearby. A huge shout out to the lady managing the breakfast area!! She kept the food/coffee/drink stations well stocked and replenished items promptly. She also made sure the area was tidy and was constantly wiping down the counters. Amazing! The negatives: house keeping or rather lack of. This hotel services the room every 2nd day, which in my opinion is perfectly acceptable. However, during our 7 night stay, our room was only serviced properly 1 time. We were out of our room most days until mid afternoon so there was plenty of time for housekeeping to enter. Whenever we called on our return, we were told housekeeping would get to our room. However, no one would show up. After repeated requests, one day someone came and gave us new towels and emptied the garbage. On another day, they did the same with the addition of making the beds. No real cleaning was done. I had to track down someone to give us shampoo and soap. Front desk response was unprofessional and ‘we are short staffed’. Don’t make it the customer’s problem! Woken up daily by loud noises at ~2:30 am

The location is excellent except for the noisy garbage collecting in the middle of night. Breakfasts are excellent in terms of quality, quantity, and variety. Rooms and beds are very comfortable. The negatives range from elevators and room keys not always working and front desk’s inability to discover for more than thirty minutes that we had two rooms reserved, one under my name and a second under my daughter’s name. Check-in problem was made worse because Expedia makes it way too difficult (impossible) to reach them for help. Finally, my room was uncomfortably cold the whole week. The hotel did offer me a chance of rooms, which I refused because of inconvenience and no assurance that second room would be any warmer. Because of these problems I am unlikely to stay at this hotel nor use Expedia in the future.

So, I don’t know where to start. The staff was really helpful but all the good stuff just ends there. There was only one lift working at any given time so the wait times were crazy sometimes. Carpet in the room was sticky and the exhaust in the bathroom never worked. AC made weird noises. Overall an average experience for the price. I would stay elsewhere next time

Air conditioner fans are squeaky & give you a headache. I had to change rooms & still found it a nuisance in the middle of the night. Also no water in the lobby for parched travelers!

The lobby is fabulous, but the rooms could use some updating. After the first day our AC went out. When we called down to the desk we were told the engineer would be right up. We waited almost an hour. The night clerk at the desk was great; she found us a room at the Hilton Garden Inn next door where we spent the night. When we returned the next day, we were told the AC was working, but when in the room it was stuffy. It finally all got sorted out, but it was a big headache for us.

Our stay was great! We were only in town for one night for a show at the Chicago Theatre. The staff was great. The valet parking was a bit expensive but it beat parking down the street and lugging my bags. This hotel doesn’t have a restaurant. Having said that, the free breakfast was great! I would stay here again.
