This is a great hotel option if you would like to stay within a walkable distance to the Grant Park area or the Bean. There are plenty of stores and restaurants in the area as well.

Ideally located at reasonable cost to explore the city of Chicago (why pay higher near the river!?)
Everyone was friendly and helpful, only minor thing was 1 room cleaning service over 4 days and certain supplies were not refilled.
Will definitely stay at The Silversmith next visit to Chicago

Staff in the morning was very rude when checking out. Bedding and towels smelled old and not fresh.

We spent two nights at the Silversmith Hotel and it was great. Staff was friendly and the room was quiet and comfortable. It's an easy walk to Millennium Park and the Art Institute of Chicago. We missed out on housekeeping one morning by not leaving until around 9:45 a.m. We were OK with that, but be aware if that's important to you. The only problem we had was the bathroom door loudly scraping along the floor. We solved that by not opening it all the way, but that's something the hotel should fix. Otherwise a good stay!

Location, Location, Location
Posted Aug. 18, 2024 on HotelsGreat location, in downtown Chicago, close to shopping, in the Loop, and within walking distance of plenty of restaurants. Even the Riverwalk was only with 10-minutes away.
The staff was great and the room was spacious.
