Property lived up to the listing. However, the walls were quite banged up. Tub in guest bath was rust stained. Furniture was uncomfortable. TV had no network options except NBC thru Peacock. Host was very cordial. Overall stay was ok for a short stay.

The home was charming and modest. The apartment was very spacious and quiet, which we loved. Check in and check out was a very easy process and all of the home's instructions, including parking, were easy to understand and follow. The host was super responsive and very friendly. Also, the neighborhood is amazing!

Property was ok. Needs some paint for a refresh and new window blinds. Building is older and hallway was not real clean. Property requires 3 keys for entry which was unusual and required some jimming the deadbolt. Would like to be closer to downtown Oak Park.

Just what we needed
This property is great, in the basement of a small apartment building; pretty quiet even with several units inside. There was no coffee in our unit our first morning so I messaged Ali, and someone brought us coffee in probably under 30 minutes. Cleanliness marked down only because on the last day as I was checking under beds and such for left-behind items there was a lot of dust bunnies, nothing we can't live with, but of note. Ali was a great host and I would definitely recommend his place for a small group (we had 3 adults). Be sure to try Chicago's Chicken and Waffles, basically around the corner from this unit; it has AMAZING soul food - my brother and I made it our first meal and in Chicago and I'm so thankful we did.

Great place!
Booked this place for my family who visited for my wedding. Everything was clean and just as described. The location was super easy to find and instructions were clear. Good location close to Downtown Oak Park and close enough to talk to the train station if needed. Ali was very nice and available via message. Thank you so much!!

Small vrbo, hits the basics
The vrbo is situated 6min from downtown oak park and 20-30min from downtown west loop depending on traffic. The check in process and communication with the host was great. All information provided and the early check in was a plus! The space is really just the basics, no frills. The kitchen was fully stocked and there were plenty of linens. The unit is a little on the smaller side for housing 6 guests, but doable with littles. The unit has wall AC and at times the place was not cool enough in the one bedroom that did not have a unit. The beds in the non-master are on the smaller side and don’t fit 2 adults comfortably. Overall, we had what we needed and I think the host was very helpful.

First time using Vrbo and it was great experience!
The host was very communicative and allowed us to drop our bags since we landed very early. I slept on the sofa since my husband had a big day and I didn’t want to wake him. I don’t recommend sleeping on the sofa, it hurt my back. Maybe I should’ve put the extra mattress on top.

Great stay!
We had a great stay here. Highly recommend. Plenty of space for my family of 5 to rest after a day at the museums. Clean apartment, reserved parking, quiet building. The beds are very supportive- no achy back in the morning. Slept well, felt safe. Hope to be back!

This host, Ali, is the nicest, most efficient and most responsive of any of the properties I have stayed. The location is perfect for me and the neighborhood is safe and walkable. I believe this is the fourth year I have stayed here and it is always wonderful!

Family Time
Overall the experience was gratifying because we were with family and able to be together. Our host was most responsive to any and all questions and concerns we experienced, evening into the late evening as concerns may have evloved. I would recommend a review of the property to enhance the lighting as the unit was very dark and update the heating and cooling units. We truly appreciated the attentiveness of our host and the overall comfort of the location for our time together.

We came in for a quick weekend visit. Great location, good communication with host but the apartment was in a rather tired building and dark. Not great for hanging out but if you want a good location in Oak Park and are just using it to sleep it’s fine.

Stay was very well communicated in advance of trip, great welcome packet with easy to follow directions. Very clean when checked in. Some of the pictures are older but pretty accurate to listing. Great location for Oak Park and Downtown! Master bedroom blinds don’t go all the way down, and are needed on first floor unit for sun/privacy. Some minor adjustments (fans) the owner is aware of and addressing. Very attentive throughout our 4 day stay

The place was nicely decorated but could not open curtains as it is a garden unit and overlooks walkway and street. A bit noisy but quieted down before 10pm. Bed was comfortable and kitchen was nicely equipped.
