Peace and quiet

Country hideaway
Publié le 10 mars 2024 sur HomeAwayThis place was in a good location, we pulled our motorcycle down to Chiefland and spent two weeks here, we would ride to all the small towns on the gulf and each had nice scenic restaurants to eat lunch at. We bought fresh seafood and brought it back to the house to fix for our supper. The kitchen had all the dishes and pans we needed as well as basic spices. Bed was ok and bathroom ok, plenty of room for us and a nice front porch to read on. I would recommend this house and it’s peaceful setting.

Not the hustle and bustle of urban Florida, or the crazy pace of the tourist areas, just a slice of farm country heaven, minutes from shopping, hiking trails, and a variety of nearby attractions. One of the best places we've ever stayed, anywhere.

Old Florida Country Charm
Publié le 21 sept. 2023 sur HomeAwayThe property was just as descibed in the listing. There are several springs in the area, to visit which are very close by. Although in the country, Walmart/Winn Dixie are less than ten minutes away. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets are easily seen from the property. I got to see a thunderstorm in the distance, one evening I was there. Lamiya thought of everything, for her guests. She had a snack basket filled with goodies for me, and even a bag of treats for my pups. In the frig, was more - milk, eggs, veggie tray, and meat/cracker tray. Plus, she had a package of small boxes of cereal available. Hurricane Idalia hit a few weeks prior to my visit, so a lot of the trails at some of the parks were closed. The farm was quiet, peaceful and tranquil. I missed the farm tour upon my arrival, due to unforseen circumstances. I could hear the roosters crowing, as I enjoyed my hot tea at the picnic table out back in the mornings. Lamiya was very easy to communicate with, and I would love to come back fot a visit.

Fun on the Farm!

We brought our bikes and kayaks and every place we wanted to go was within 15 minutes of this home. Lamiya was a wonderful host, as she gave us a farm tour and we were able to feed the goats and chickens. She also left us yummy snacks for our stay. We enjoyed having coffee on the picnic table each morning to watch the sunrise and we used the fire pit under the stars one of the nights.
