Comfortable room, poor breakfast

The room was clean and comfortable. I liked being able to park right next to the room. The breakfast had much to be desired. It wasn't worth going to it the 2nd stay. It didn't have hardly anything available.

I want to begin by saying that my wife and I just needed a bed to sleep in as we didn't plan on being at the hotel other than to sleep. But, we both found it disconcerting when we pulled up and they had wooden entertainment centers, upholstery chairs, and dresser pieces rotting away outside the front office (front and back). The location looked deserted and my wife turned to me and asked, "Are they open? Was there a fire here and they're closed?" They were open, and had very kind staff. But, this place in need of major gut job. I felt that it was somewhat clean. But, is hard to clean decades of mold and grime off a shower tile and keep it away (mold around the bathtub joints and fixtures). Between the truck stop traffic (truck horns at 2 am both nights) and being right next door to the freeway, it was a tad noisy. But, you get what you pay for... a warm place to sleep. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Would consider staying again if they remodeled and made the location a little more ADA friendly.

Bates motel

Was there for a festival waited til the last minute to book. Upon checking in there was a wash cloth from the previous person on cracked shower rod. The smell of the room was awful. The stains on the wall by the bed and ceiling were very noticable. I know they are not fancy hotel and didn't pay a lot but basic cleaning was expected not fancy rooms. The chaulk in the bathroom has black stuff all in between and the walls appear to be bubbling by door. The door handle look like it may fall off at any moment in the bathroom. Also, the breakfast is eggos that are left out (on counter not refrigerated) in plastic wrap, oatmeal, and bread wrapped in plastic. There is mcds, right across street that we ate.Get your towels in advance because they act like it was inconvince to give us extra towels for our 3 day stay. Next time will spend the extra and get a different hotel. Would have canceled the other nights but wasn't sure if any other hotels were available or if could get money back.
