Spacious Hocking Hills Lodge/Cabin

This spacious vacation lodge/cabin is located close to the Old Mans Cave attractions in the scenic Hocking Hills. It features a big 8 person Hot Tub located outside the Rec. Room. The Karshner Place is located close to the small town of Laurelville, which has a number of restaurants, a gas station, ice cream place, grocery store, Family Dollar with movie rentals and a bank. We allow the Karshner Place to sleep up to 20 guests. The initial price is for 12 guests (to keep the price down for less guests) after 12 we have a guest fee. The Karshner Place features a large living room area with a Smart TV and a Samsung DVD player (with apps). (TV is only Internet TV and only local channels that you can pick up at times, no cable or satellite, bring your own streaming devices and your own internet TV subscriptions) The living room area also has an electric fireplace that heats. It has a large dining room with plenty of seating area. It has a total of 7 bedrooms and 4 full bathrooms. It has a fully equipped kitchen. Bedroom #1 is in the open loft area overlooking the dining room with a queen bed and a queen pullout sofa. The open loft over the living room area has a double pullout and 1 chaise lounge. Bedroom # 2 is a closed bedroom in the loft area with a queen bed and a queen pullout sofa, and a small balcony. Coming down the loft stairs, straight ahead is Bathroom #1 with a shower and a large jacuzzi. Bedroom #3 is on the main floor and has a queen bed and a reclining chaise. This bedroom has a door going into the large Bathroom #1. Bedroom #4 is on the main floor and has a queen bed. Bedroom #5 is on the main floor and has a queen bed. Bathroom #2 is just outside bedrooms #4 & 5, with a tub/shower. Bedroom #6 is on the lower level and has a queen bed. This bedroom has a door going into Bathroom #3 with a tub/shower. Bedroom #7 is on the lower level and has a queen bed. This bedroom has a door going into Bathroom # 4 with a tub/shower. There is also a full pullout sofa on the lower level in the Rec Room area. Towels and linens are provided. It also features a large Rec Room with pool table, ping pong table, and a Smart TV and a Samsung DVD player (with apps) on the lower level. Outside it features a wrap around deck, a small balcony off the upstairs bedroom, and a small patio on the back of the lodge with a gas grill. Off to the side of the lodge is a large patio with a fire ring which has a removable grill for grilling (you can grill with firewood, which they sell in Laurelville at Young’s Market and Ridge Inn). Close to the fire ring is a tree house with swings and a slide attached. Check out our other listing listing # 2165461.

Great for a big family
We love staying at Karshner Place! It is large enough to spread out, while still feeling cozy. They supply EVERYTHING you could need for your stay. Bring your food and firewood, and get ready for a great time.

Lovely Stay
Our small group had a wonderful weekend at the Karshner Place! The hosts were great at answering our questions ahead of time and were very attentive to details. The lodge was clean and was as described. The kids loved having the pool table and ping pong table in the basement, and the hot tub was a bonus. It was great to have the extra fridge in the basement, and having the extra countertop in the kitchen was super helpful. It was also a great idea to have the kitchen tables separate to create more room for our larger group- and having the extra chairs available as needed was appreciated. Everything seemed well thought out!

Impressive property and wonderful Hosts!
This was a Christmas gathering for our family. We had 10 people in our group and enjoyed being together in this home to play games, share meals and reconnect with each other. The hot tub was enjoyed by all! The home was fully equipped for cooking in or out and even had booster seats for the 2 year old toddlers. We had to contact the hosts a few times during our stay and Phil was quick to respond and help with solutions. This home was perfect for our group and the hosts were great to work with. We enjoyed the Muddy Boots petting farm zip lining and a nearby playground. 5 star recommendation. Thank you so much!

Great getaway
The owners were very responsive and excellent communicators. The property is beautiful and close to where we wanted to hike. A note to those with more than 6 couples: There were 17 of us, ages 20 to 80, with most of us in our late 50s. 6 of us were couples and the remaining were singles. Since there are only 6 bedrooms, our single friend or family members did not have a private space. The loft areas are ok, but, as you would expect, they are open to noise and light from the first floor. I have no complaints; just guests may want to take this into consideration.

Retirement weekend
We had a wonderful time with family celebrating my husbands retirement over the Fourth of July. The house was well appointed with everything we needed and was spacious and quiet (like when grandkids needed naps)! We enjoyed just playing games outside and being able to sit together for meals was an added bonus. Hosts were very responsive.

We had a wonderful family reunion at this property! It is truly a lovely place to gather, and had multiple spaces so that people could mix and catch up in different batches. The hot tub was popular, as was the game room. We had our meals at the big table, and played card games there as well. The large counter was perfect for buffets. Beautiful-Spotless-Spacious-Equipped
My husband and our 4 married kids and spouses (party of 10) chose the Karshner Place as our Memory Building Christmas Gift! We were all blown away by this beautiful retreat!! The landscaping is beautiful and the cabin is more beautiful than the pictures! It was pristine, welcoming and very comfortable! There are 7 bedrooms and we only needed 5 of them. The kitchen had everything we could possibly need and more! It had plenty of sitting room for dining and relaxing! We enjoyed the ping-pong table and pool table in the game room and soaked in the extra large hot tub several times!! It has ample parking and is a short drive to all the hiking areas. The owners were great at communicating

Last Getaway before Graduation
My son and his 4 best friends will be graduating in May so we wanted to do a getaway with them and their families. This place was perfect for us. Everyone had a blast. The boys actually wanted to spend the whole day at the house instead of going out. We did adventure out after check out but what a beautiful home.

Perfect for Families!
This was a great place to stay! You can tell by the layout that they value family and have provided a large cabin to make that happen.
