Perfect getaway

Secluded and quiet, but still close enough to walk to the town of Chimney Rock and drive to Lake Lure. The screened in back porch was perfect to just sit and relax with great a breeze!! Everything was just as described, rustic and cozy. We will definitely be back to stay again.

Sorry you had such a bad time. I hate to say it but I have no control over the mosquitos. There was bug spray by the door leaving the front screened in porch. As for the size of the cabin and the gas stove. It says right in the description “RUSTIC COZY LITTLE CABIN” and that the kitchen has a toaster oven and a two burner cook top. It’s all in the description. Next time please read the listing description before you book.

Bad Choice For Comfort
Publié le 18 août 2024 sur HomeAwayAC is only in the common area. Other two rooms (including the bedroom) doesn't cool off even with a ceiling fan. Some the stairs made of rocks that lead up to the entrance are loose and it's a sketchy walk up. Staircase is over grown and not maintained very well. Property is very cramped and not inviting at all
The small furniture and small bed were very disappointing and uncomfortable. Host barely communicated and there is no cell service at the property. Listing doesn't mention anything to inform the renters about what to expect (probably on purpose). We had to guess what to do when checking out so we didn't get charged extra if something wasn't done. We tried to make the best of it but this rental ended up being a bad choice.

Sorry you as such a difficult stay.
As it says in the description small, cosy, rustic. The mini split when used the right way will keep all the rooms comfortable with the use of the ceiling fans. If you had a problem all you needed to do is ask. The internet works well and the VRBO platform is a great place to ask questions.
The description says uneven stone steps and when it rains, there is possibilities for extra foliage growth and the dirt set stone steps become wiggly. We had a pretty wet July and I have been putting in hours between guests to keep the stones secure. The description says the cabin is small and was built in the 1940’s, if you needed more space then yes this is not the right place for you. I have no control over what cell service is at my cabin, around Chimney Rock or any other place in Western North Carolina that would be the mountains, some providers are better than others, WiFi calling works best in the cabin. I also cannot help that you do not have the right contact information so your phone number was not correct when I set the code to the door. It was unfortunate that you didn’t look at the welcome letter on the VRBO platform to get the WiFi code, enter it in your phone and contact me while standing on the deck. As for question on checking out , in my welcome letter, my last statement is “if you have any questions or need anything, please ask. I am happy to help.” You just needed to ask. I would have been happy to help with anything you needed. My goal is to let my guests have privacy so I do not contact them. If they need anything they just need to ask. I am happy to help

Lovely little cabin in Chimney Rock!

Excellent getaway
Publié le 13 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis was a wonderful place for my wife and I to spend an evening in Chimney Rock. It was conveniently located, fully stocked, internet works great! The patio is amazing!!! The stairs are a little precarious, so pack light because you will not want to be hauling luggage up and down.
