Linda, Our goal here at Wrangell Mountain Lodge is to give our guests the opportunity to experience Wrangell St Elias National Park and Preserve staying in a private rustic log cabin, while also enjoying modern conveniences such as a private bathroom, shower, WiFi, electricity and free breakfast. Beautiful cabin. Quiet. Close to where we wanted to hike. Beautiful location. Hosts were great. Breakfast was perfect.

A piece of heaven in the wild

The best part of the stay was the comfortable king bed and cozy room. And then, there is the breakfast! THE best breakfast in Alaska! This our fourth trip to Alaska and we have been in the state for two weeks.
The Wi-Fi at the property was the best in Alaska. After two weeks of impossible to use Wi-Fi, this is a relief. There is a two way radio to communicate with him throughout the stay. That was a nice touch.

It is always a great reward for us to hear that we were able to make a difference in someone's vacation. We love Alaska! We want to share our property, our cabins and our experiences with our guests. With all of the Discovery Channel shows about Alaska, many people have questions about what it is really like to live in the bush in Alaska. We live here in the lodge, which is located on the only private property in the largest National Park in the US! Our favorite time each day is when we are able to sit over a cup of gormet coffee and discuss our lives here and what it is truly like to live in this incredible and rugged place. We get a lot of satisfaction sharing this enchanted place with our guests. We focus on helping to furnish more than just a room, we offer an experience, beyond just a place to sleep at night!
Harold, we enjoyed having you and we enjoyed the lively conversation over breakfast.

Wonderful hosts, beautiful setting, fabulous cabin, amazing breakfast, great cookhouse to prepare your own meal and store food.
Wish we had stayed two nights!

Great place to stay. Very clean, comfortable cabin. Hosts were very accommodating. Excellent breakfast. Highly recommend.

Bryan, we are thrilled that your vacation to Alaska was a success. If we contributed to that success, it makes us even more determined to continue giving all that we can to help our future guests have a great worry-free vacation.
It is our goal to provide a comfortable "base-camp" for guests to visit Wrangell St Elias national park and Preserve, the town of Mccarthy and the Kennicott mine.
It is much easier to enjoy a hike through the park when you know that there is a hot shower and comfortable bed waiting for you back at your cabin!
We have worked hard to provide a nice clean cabin complete with private bathrooms and hot shower in each cabin, electricity, USB ports at each bedside nightstand and even free fast wifi!

Best place in Alaska!!
Publié le 13 sept. 2021 sur HotelsThis was the best place ever!! James & his wife have thought of everything. The cabins are so comfortable and quiet. You can walk the property, sit in chairs along the river and a fire pit at night. Breakfast in the Cook House in the morning is amazing. No cold danishes here. On a scale of 1 to 10, I give them 11!! Above and beyond on all levels. Thank you!!

I remember your visit with us. Our favorite time of day is the evening when guests can sit around the campfire and roast marshmallows and hotdogs while enjoying great conversation.

We absolutely loved our time in Hunter Cabin. The decor was great! The bed and pillows were comfortable. We sat around a fire in the evening and met the other guests there. The owner helped us get the fire going. We walked along the creek and collected beautiful rocks. We sat in the lawn chairs and basked in the amazing mountain views! The breakfast in the morning was amazing home cooked meal with eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns and pancakes with fresh ground coffee beans for the coffee! Amazing! I recommend this place for everyone!
