Avis Gîte des Ruches, Peaceful & Homely 1 bedroom Gîte with pool

After initially staying for 10 days we then went to the Dordogne for a week. I wish we’d have stayed here the whole time! Still you live and learn. The gite is very clean, well equipped with a lovely modern bathroom and kitchen with plenty of space to park your car. I have to say I’m a bit fussy, bringing my own bedding and towels but I didn’t need them here. The pristine white bedding and towels were changed every 5 days. Lee & Karl are great guys who are very sociable and a good laugh. We will definitely be returning!

We wanted a gite close to some friends and came across Gites des Ruches on the vrbo website. So glad we chose this one it is a great place to stay. The gite has everything that you need for a lovely relaxing break. It has been very well renovated whilst keeping the typical French style. The courtyard garden is a lovely private area and the shay is a great place to relax and enjoy a meal with a glass or two of wine in the evening. Lee & Karl are two really great guys, with lots of knowledge of the area. They are two fantastic hosts and have created something very special here. In fact it is so nice we’re coming back in a week 😂!
